Arrancó el taller "Caja de herramientas para cientistas sociales. Fuentes de información y datos abiertos: ¿cuáles están disponibles y qué hacer con esto?" con 76 inscriptos.

Además, se plantean salidas al drenaje que respeten la situación de cada región y conduzcan a la recomunalización de la publicación académica para que esté al servicio de la ciencia y no del mercado.

En este trabajo colaborativo con colegas de distintas partes del mundo analizamos empíricamente el drenaje de la publicación académica y sus 4 manifestaciones problemáticas: dinero, tiempo, confianza y control. arxiv.org/abs/2511.04820…

The paper argues for a re-communalization of scholarly publishing through institutional support, and reliable journal evaluation such as performed by Latindex, Scielo, Redalyc, BIBLAT.

The results of the first phase of the project offer insight into how scientists in non-hegemonic contexts respond to transformations in the publishing ecosystem resulting from the development of open access.

Between 2023 and 2024, a team of international researchers, led by Fernanda Beigel (CECIC-CONICET) and funded by the Global Research Institute of Paris, studied the impact of article processing charges (APCs) in four countries: Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, and South Africa.

The program consists of four panels featuring over 15 speakers from universities in Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, Ukraine, South Africa, Argentina, the Netherlands, Brazil, Colombia, and Canada.
