@madsaboutluv @ricciolomentale He doesn't normally, this is just a bad example. The rotational speed though is very good, and that he does get consistently.

@moonymarss @trppleloops He wasn't focusing on it, and it shows😭 but he has been doing some stuff in stars on ice practices that give me hope that he'll work on it again now that he has landed that seven quad skate

@PiotrKozlo74973 @willias0 @CorralSummer Culture difference then, if I want bread I have to go to the grocery store's bakery section and buy a whole loaf. So I can't always eat bread within a couple of hours of it being baked, because I can't eat a loaf that fast. Though I can typically get the first few slices down.

@BeingAlix @willias0 @CorralSummer I usually buy only enough to eat in the morning and evening, have multiple bakeries within 200m from my home to choose from, if its Sunday i heat up the Saturday's bread in the oven

@be_Zanazar @flinchhy @Rippie856717 @CorralSummer @Euunul True, and I wish there were more bakeries in America especially in rural places, but at least I can get something actually reasonable and baked today in the bakery section of my local Walmart, unlike many Europeans claim.

@be_Zanazar @flinchhy @Rippie856717 @CorralSummer @Euunul I was replying to the section of your post that mentions getting it in Aldi. Given Aldi is a grocery store, buying "artisanal" bread in a grocery store in America is the same, just not as common, considering bread isn't as big a part of the culture.

@BeingAlix @flinchhy @Rippie856717 @CorralSummer @Euunul Yes... How does this in any way address anything I said here? I'm saying what an American in this thread is calling artisan is what we consider basic bread. It's just a difference in culture. Like the way things are seasoned in Europe vs the US is also Competely different.

@queerstendencie @eastgorteau Yeah I think this is part of the reason judges vary in score so much. The point system is incredibly vague, introducing SOME subjectivity, often into places where there should be none.

@eastgorteau Sorry but I have to ask are there like any definitive guide on how to differentiate pcs between skaters? Bc on the rulebook I only found the breakdown of each pcs criteria and to separate the score I only found smth like. Outstanding. Good. Average. And IDEK what it means

judges can, and do, disagree on whether or not a skater meets certain bullet criteria for component scores. that is subjective. you don’t have to agree with them (i usually do not) but the idea that it is all objective is simply not reality or we’d have robot judges already
Chinese Nebelhorn@chn_nebelhorn

fs watchers neeeeed to learn that PCS is NOT subjective. please for the love of god read the handbook. PCS is based on many technicalities, not just joy and vibes

@aaronmhamilton @CorralSummer Walk into Walmart, head to the bakery section, pick up a loaf, now you have bread that's not sandwich bread. Dollar general is different though, but if that's all you have your in a food dessert. Which is not normal circumstances.

It depends on where you are. If you are in a small city or town, and it's just Walmart and Dollar General, there are exactly zero such breads available most of the time. The thing that is hardest to avoid in bread in much of the country is soybean oil. That having been said, you can just get quality flour, add some water, yeast, and salt... and boom you have bread. Baking decent bread is honestly not hard in America. A kitchen with an oven is the bare minimum for a legal housing unit essentially everywhere in the country.

@willias0 @CorralSummer What in the Periodic Table is that? Plastic foil on bread? Why? Do you enjoy eating plastic foil bread? I thought the whole experience was to eat it hours fresh, crusty, with some butter. Water, flour, sourdough, salt. That's bread

@MathiasSalaman1 @quentinoeoeoe dude, fist of all, the vast majority of food in the US doesn't have red 40. Especially fkin bread. Second of all, europe also allows red 40 they just call it something else.

@flinchhy @Rippie856717 @CorralSummer @Euunul Hmm no. Op said you don't typically add high fructose corn syrup to bread. This shows it's 70 to 95%. That seems to me to be the typical thing to do. Also no this is normal bread in Germany, it's nothing artisan. You get it at aldis

@flinchhy @Rippie856717 @CorralSummer @Euunul And like comparing an American artisan bakery to the way bakeries work here is retarded. Like we have bakeries every other street even in small towns. You pay like a buck or two for a loaf of fresh bread at a bakery.

that's just a skill issue cause 19 yo yuzuru hanyu and yuna kim won their first olympics despite coming from countries with no prior golds in their discipline, and went on to win it again 4 years later...
Lynn Rutherford@LynnRutherford

@woniesloviee @SAMA27749 The 9th place at Worlds is proof they should have sent him to Beijing to get experience in high-pressure situations. When you have a generational talent you clear a path. Going into Beijing behind Chen would have been a perfect introduction to Olympics.
