US President Donald Trump stated today that China will face "big problems" if it ships weapons to Iran. The warning follows US intelligence reports that Beijing is preparing to deliver air-defense systems, including shoulder-fired MANPADS, to Tehran. Multiple news outlets, including CNN, reported the intelligence assessments earlier today. Trump's comment comes amid a fragile ceasefire between the United States and Iran that began after recent US and Israeli military strikes in the region. Tensions remain elevated over access to the Strait of Hormuz. Earlier this week, on April 8, Trump announced that any country supplying military weapons to Iran would face immediate 50% tariffs on all goods exported to the United States. No public response from Chinese officials has been reported so far.

Seminar on Sindhi Language. The majority of Sindhies live in Sindh, across the country, and around the world, yet it is a matter of irony that Sindhi has been granted national language status in India in 1967, while being denied the same here. This historical and cultural injustice must be corrected. Sindhi is not just a language but an identity, and it deserves full constitutional recognition as a national language.
