A New Year’s message from Nottingham Forest Owner Evangelos Marinakis:
I extend my sincere wishes to the entire Nottingham Forest community for a healthy, peaceful and hopeful New Year.
2025 will forever be remembered as the year our great club returned to European competition for the first time in three decades. That achievement was a reminder of our heritage, our bold ambition, and our belief that Nottingham Forest would once again be competing on the European stage.
This year we have proudly embraced our community and charitable activities with even greater purpose than ever before, supporting thousands of people who look to our football club in times of need. Our message has been clear: Our community is our club, and our club is our community.
We should all reflect on how far this club has come and how much has been achieved in only a short space of time. Expectations have rightly been set very high – not just for us as custodians of this club, but for a new generation of supporters who were not here to witness less prosperous times.
More challenging periods have demanded resilience and unity and we have shown ourselves capable of both. Those moments do not define us, nor do they diminish our long-term objectives.
The commitment to sustained progress, hard work, and collective responsibility remains firm. The strength of Nottingham Forest has always come from our togetherness. United in purpose and clear in direction, we are focused on the future and firm in the belief that Nottingham Forest will move forward even stronger.
May the year ahead bring renewed confidence and moments of pride for everyone connected to the club. And may 2026 treat you and your loved ones kindly in everything you do.
Evangelos Marinakis
