Jakie warunki dyktator stawia Polsce?

Białoruś i walka z reżimem Łukaszenki pozostaje i będzie ważna w agendzie UE. Wczoraj cały dzień w PE spędziliśmy z przedstawicielami wszystkich białoruskich partii demokratycznych ✌️ ⚪🔴⚪

The Belarusian House in Warsaw has provided 142,000 PLN (about 38,797 USD) in financial assistance to former political prisoners from Belarus This support became possible thanks to Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Radosław Sikorski. More than 100 men and women — survivors of torture and the inhumane conditions of Lukashenko’s prisons — received assistance. For decades, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland has supported repressed Belarusians, and over the past five years it has become one of the key leaders in helping former political prisoners — journalists, members of the Polish minority, activists, and politicians. Polish solidarity includes assistance with adaptation in a new country, Polish language courses, psychological support for women, financial aid, help for children and their parents after release from prison, and many other essential forms of support. Poland remains one of the main partners demonstrating a genuine readiness to help those who continue the struggle for freedom. Most of the people who received assistance were released very recently. Many were forcibly expelled from Belarus with no right to return home. Today, they must rebuild their lives from scratch — often without belongings, documents, or basic means — in Poland, Lithuania, and other countries in the region. The Head of the Belarusian House, Ales Zarembiuk, emphasized: “We are deeply grateful to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, and to all Poles who have not remained indifferent to the fate of Belarusians. Thanks to your support, we were able to help people at the most difficult moment — after their release from prison and forced deportation. For many, it was the first real opportunity to feel that they are not alone, that there are people ready to extend a helping hand and support them as they start their lives anew in a neighboring and truly solidary Poland”. The Belarusian House will continue — to the extent possible and within available resources — to support former political prisoners who survived repression and are now rebuilding their lives in safety and freedom.

🇵🇱🤝 «Polish Solidarity for Belarusians» Exhibition Presented in Brussels Brussels has hosted another opening of the exhibition “Polish Solidarity for Belarusians”, created by the @BelaruskiDom in Warsaw and prepared with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland. The exhibition highlights the extensive assistance that Polish society and the Polish state have provided to Belarusians not only since the events of 2020 but also long before that. This time, the exhibition was presented at the Permanent Representation of Poland to the European Union @PLintheEU, as well as at the Office of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya in Brussels. At the opening, remarks were delivered by Ambassador Michał Mazur, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Republic of Poland to the European Union. The exhibition demonstrates concrete examples of Polish support after the events of August 2020, including: •educational programmes for children and youth, including families affected by repression; •support for independent Belarusian media and journalists; •assistance to former political prisoners and victims of repression; •initiatives by Polish politicians and diplomats who have kept the Belarusian issue visible at the European and international levels. According to the organisers, the exhibition was conceived as a documentary narrative of solidarity, based on real projects, data and testimonies. Its aim is to show other EU countries that solidarity is not about gestures or statements but about practical actions that can change people’s lives. Poland has become one of the key countries that welcomed thousands of Belarusians after the crackdown began. Governmental and civic programmes have enabled many people to receive protection, education and the opportunity to continue their professional activities. Against the backdrop of ongoing repression in Belarus, such exhibitions serve as a reminder of the importance of international support for Belarusian civil society. The exhibition continues its European tour and will soon be presented in other EU capitals. Public task financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland within the grant competition “Public Diplomacy 2024 – 2025 – the European dimension and countering disinformation”.

🇵🇱Ahead of Poland’s Independence Day, the Belarusian diaspora in Poland did something truly remarkable. Members of the running club Run Wawa Run ran 435.55 kilometers around Warsaw, using a GPS tracker to “draw” the outline of Poland on the map. It was not just a run — it was 44 hours of continuous movement, day and night, across roads, fields, forests, villages, and towns. More than twenty Belarusians took turns on the route, passing the GPS tracker from one to another. Some ran on asphalt, others through mud, forests, and fields. Volunteers supported the runners, driving them to relay points, bringing hot tea, dry clothes, and even spending nights in their cars to help the team. It was not only a sporting achievement but also a huge logistical and organizational effort, showing how capable Belarusians are of self-organization and solidarity. The relay became a heartfelt gesture of gratitude to Poland — a country that welcomed and supported tens of thousands of Belarusians forced to flee repression. What made it even more touching was how warmly Poles responded: in comments on the internet, they thanked Belarusians and expressed words of support. For Belarusians, Poland has become not only a safe refuge but also a place where they can feel free, strong, and valued. Poland is not just a country that opened its doors — it is a symbol of hope and freedom, the very freedom Belarusians dream of for their own country.
