Lost in the celebration of PXL NET is the fact that @kimasendorf also has a vinyl for sale at Node, which pairs well with the ‘Colors of Noise’ cassette.

Reflecting a bit more on the opening night at @nodefnd for @kimasendorf’s PXL project. I had some additional thoughts. 1. Node did it right. The presentation, engagement, and community are all here. The foundation of digital art is solid and growing, and Node is plugged into the ethos. I’ll definitely be back. 2. Asendorf is generational. I don’t know who else hits this note as strong as Kim. Digitally and crypto native, experimental, and forward thinking with infinitely engaging compositions. 3. The minting experience was unique and engaging. Well done. 4. If I had one niggle, selfishly, I would have liked to see more consideration for existing collectors. Cryptopunk preference over collector preference seems backwards, and the spending cap was a bit frustrating, as a long time collector + POD and DEX holder. 5. I did love setting the POD display to 6 and seeing my PXL POD displayed in immersive glory, as captured in the video below.

@HarveySawikin @Jesse_Livermore Not accurate. I may be rare, but have been significantly in the green on crypto and NFT’s every year since 2020 and paid the taxes to show for it. There were lots of scams and extractors, and amongst the noise, small pockets of people like me, who just enjoy the tech and the art.

@Jesse_Livermore But I assume no one or almost no one ever paid actual money for an NFT. They were bought with appreciated crypto, which also had no value. Real money was invested and lost in the dotcom bubble.

Nobody should ever say "This is the biggest bubble in history." The biggest bubble in history already happened, and everyone was there for it--the NFT bubble of 2020-2021. 1929, the Nikkei, dot-com stocks--not one of them even comes close to how absurd that situation was.

@beaniemaxi My son had a shoe phase, and would buy me the hot Nikes for Birthdays and XMas’ each year. I’d wear them because I loved him, but Kobes and Jordans are absolutely the worst shoes.

Maybe anecdotal but anybody who regularly buys Jordans (like myself) can observe the absurd amount of channel stuffing that Nike is doing since the COVID demand peak. What were $200-$300 retail shoes have become < $100 over the past several years. Plus they look and feel cheaper.
