Scott Weiland took your eye, that dancing!😳😀The DeLeo brothers were no slouches though & in hindsight deserve more credit. STP had so many great tracks, the older I get the more I like ‘em!

BREAKING: On November 12, 2024, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) delivered a landmark ruling in the Armenia v. Azerbaijan case, rejecting all of Azerbaijan's objections and affirming its jurisdiction over Armenia's claims. The ICJ found that Azerbaijan’s alleged racially motivated acts—such as murder, torture, and inhumane treatment of ethnic Armenians—fall within the scope of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (CERD). This ruling means the case will proceed to a full trial, marking a major achievement and step forward in Armenia’s claims. The trial, expected to begin within the next year, brings Armenia closer to justice and accountability for these serious claims.
In a separate case filed by Azerbaijan in 2021, accusing Armenia of racial discrimination, the ICJ ruled in favor of Armenia on two key points, limiting the scope of Azerbaijan’s claims. The Court found it lacks jurisdiction over Azerbaijan’s claims concerning events from 1993 to 1996, since Armenia was party to the anti-discrimination treaty during that period, while Azerbaijan was not. The ICJ also agreed that Azerbaijan’s claims regarding environmental harm fell outside its scope. However, it allowed Azerbaijan to proceed with claims related to landmines and booby traps, as these were not argued to directly violate the treaty. This ruling is a major win for Armenia, significantly narrowing Azerbaijan’s case.
In previous hearings, Armenia’s legal team has drawn on evidence from CFTJ’s records, and we are hopeful and determined more than ever after bearing witness to today’s historic ruling. Monumental events like these remind us that our work to bring critical evidence to light must continue.

People overly reduce the idea of freedom of speech down to what you can and can’t say.
When actually it’s more about a culture of free thought.
As lecturer I trained for years to be able to respond to questions quickly. It’s literally brain training. Synthesising knowledge and expressing it clearly is an art form. The closer the gap between formed thought and it leaving your mouth the closer to that persons truth you are.
When you’re in a guarded environment “be careful what you say”. You think differently, it adds extra steps to thought processes.
It limits expression. It limits thought.
That’s what we should be worried about.
It’s about culture, freedom of expression, being able to openly vocalise your true thoughts and have them tested by your peers. It’s about the environment we create.
My preference is one of openness.
