I’d love your thoughts for an article I’m preparing. There’s an opportunity to be featured in Forbes. After months of conversations with parents, educators, technologists, and policymakers, I’ve reached a firm conclusion: schools will soon have no choice but to stop sharing photos of children in public or online spaces. Why? Because AI now makes it possible to: - Generate extremely realistic images of real people - Identify individuals from a single photo and link that image to information scraped from across the internet Together, these capabilities create major risks. From the production of manipulated, inappropriate images to the possibility of someone using AI-enabled device (e.g. AI glasses) to identify a child and access detailed personal information in real time. I’d really value your perspective on this. Parents, teachers, school leaders, safeguarding professionals what do you think? Your insights may be included in the article.
