I was FINALLY awarded my NIH NIDDK K01 😭🙌🏾!!! I've earned 10 grants during my postdoc/instructorship but this is my FIRST NIH grant after submitting 2 F31's, a K99 (ND) and my first K01 (ND). It truly pays to STAY PERSISTENT! Interestingly, if I earned my K99/K01 earlier I would have been made an instructor and not have been eligible to earn my career trajectory changing @SCAgingBrain TTI award which, when added to my K01, provides me more direct cost funds than I would have otherwise had. Such great news while heading into the weekend!! 😃
