Oh sweet child it was actually pretty brutal. Not only were you made fun of relentlessly for liking anime, you also had to navigate *ahem* not totally legit sites to access these titles. It was the wild west of PC viruses and hours long buffering

Got more commissions when I raised my #VGen Prices 🌷 But when they were cheap, they got ignored 🥀 Apparently clients see cheap services as scams or low quality work 😅 Having good detailed reviews + updated work queue + active socials helps build credibility 👍

@Doodle_Bloom I have full drives for the characters I comm; it’s basically the character from every possible angle.
I get a lot of comms, so it’s a necessity nowadays. I allow artists I work with to have near full creative freedom as long as they can work based on a theme/prompt.

a moment. Because I need to roll the ogre scene. Part of this fic is I have to perfectly adapt the dialogue with little leeway.
And also layer my allusions and symbolism and the word choice (“Dear Gabimaru” vs “My Dear Gabimaru” once Shija takes his role as Yui seriously)

Shija is not getting what he wants in that fic ngl. It’s the most compelling when he suffers. Shija is a character defined by his harmatia of love—“strength and weakness.”
He is a “secondary heroine” type character. Earnest and innocent and innocence makes that love horrific.

Every time someone says “put your money where your mouth is” about art stuff and supporting artists, I can uno-reverse them and show my 10k+ usd of art comms, merch, writing, prints, museum visits, etc.
