Fire & Emergency Services | Make sure you are practicing fire safety this weekend when it comes to fireworks and campfires. Here's what you need to know: 👇 🎆Fireworks Victoria Day is one of the only times of year when consumer fireworks are allowed to be set off. Fireworks are prohibited between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. Ensure you have lots of open space and be mindful of where debris may land. Keep a water hose or pail of water nearby at all times. Do not set off fireworks in windy conditions. 🔥Campfires To have a campfire, you must obtain a burn permit. You can only have a campfire between 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. Never leave a fire unattended. Keep a water hose or pail of water nearby at all times and ensure the fire is completely extinguished before leaving.
