@Chibuik57080063 Yes, they would have to withdraw the case not because they lack the right to prosecute, but because, without the cooperation of the family, they may not have sufficient evidence to secure a conviction against the defendant.

but that alone doesn't tell us anything with certainty about her personal life. Give her the benefit of the doubt. She may or may not be a virgin, but I would lean toward the former because no one can be 100% certain of the latter based solely on her appearance or online behavior

As the saying goes, "You're addressed the way you dress." While there's some truth to that, it's unfair to judge someone solely by their appearance. The girl in question may post revealing content or dance suggestively on the internet,
KING CHIDI@guzu_p

See a girl who claims to be a virgin dressing half naked, sexualizing herself and shaking bumbum on the internet. That's just to tell you that she's not the naive or innocent girl you thought she was and she always knew exactly what she was doing. Now, you understand why she went to meet a stranger in a hotel while not informing her parents and acting like she didn't know how it will end. Foolish people were attacking me in the comment section for calling her stupid for going to meet a stranger in a hotel rather than address the fact that it's pure stupidity from her part. People will rather focus on the final outcome that she was raped rather than the fact that it could have been prevented if she wasn't foolish to meet a stranger she wasn't intending to sleep with in a hotel. Nothing justifies rape and if I were the law, it's a death penalty straight but for this girI, i feel no sympathy for her. Call me heartless, that's your business. Young girls should learn to stop chasing social media attention, put their nyash in one place, and inform their parents and siblings of their whereabouts. But when you tell women this, the foolish ones will tell you: "Men shouldn't rape women for no reason." Please who doesn't know that? Weren't we taught not to steal by our parents, teachers, pastors and the law? Don't people still steal? So because stealing is wrong, you'll walk on a dangerous street known for stealing at night with a briefcase full of money hoping nobody attacks you because stealing is wrong? At the end of the day, she had a hand to her misfortune which is why I don't feel any sympathy for her. A woman who fails to protect herself in a dangerous world will get what's she's desperately looking for. The game might be brutal but it's still fair.

@john322226 I had a friend who was a Ronaldo fan until Argentina won the 2022 World Cup. He switched sides and became a Messi fan. Ever since then, I've questioned his loyalty.

If any of your Ronaldo friends suddenly start saying Messi is their new GOAT after 15 years, avoid them. They will forget the times you came through for them when things gets tough for you.

@sulaimanaa You're right. The unauthorized release alone is a breach. I was referring to damages though.

@BellionJ5 No! You don't need to prove that! Releasing private information without prior authorization is enough ground

There’s a matter where we are defendants. On the last adjourned day, claimant is PW1 and was meant to have led his evidence-in-chief, however, counsel delivered a letter requesting an adjournment on the basis that he is bereaved, having lost his brother. I conceded to the adjournment, but on terms. The court awarded cost and granted the adjournment. Today, being the next adjourned day, counsel tells the court that the claimant, PW1 is not in court, why? The claimant is bereaved, having also lost his own brother.. “Too much of a coincidence, my lord” I lamented.
