@KayBen1974 @CodeRedEarthb They can still ask the Forever Canada question. It can lead to the same outcome. Why is that not good enough?
English

@Bellrules @CodeRedEarthb Or in this case, enforce people's lawfully protected rights. Like the citizens initative laws that the biased judge disregarded.
It works both ways Bud.
English

@xllenial @ABDanielleSmith She still has to meet the criteria that the judge laid out.
English

@cspotweet And yet, the Forever Canada petition faces none of the same problems. That’s what happens when it’s done correctly.
English

@KayBen1974 @CodeRedEarthb Notwithstanding clause goes against what’s lawful. It’s used to take people’s lawfully protected rights away.
English

@Bellrules @CodeRedEarthb Her interpretation of the law as written is in question when you read the ruling.
She's not even close.
Hence, two court appeals, a stay on the decision requested, and a cabinet review of the decision next week. Aside from that, 3 words
Not Withstanding Clause
English

@KayBen1974 @CodeRedEarthb It’s not legal. That’s why it was stopped. You need to ask yourself why it was found illegal. The process was, the execution was not.
English

@Bellrules @CodeRedEarthb An unelected lower court judge cannot stop a legal and democratic process based on her own misinterpretation of the laws she is citing.
The vote will happen in October whether you like it or not.
That's democracy friend, not the banana republic we currently live in.
English

@Bellrules @TrendPolCa @JeffreyRWRath If your not Albertan you don’t get a say in this your opinion is invalid. Like you don’t get a say. So I don’t really care what you think. Will see what the future holds.
English

“No, they don't sir. You don't understand the law!”
WATCH: Alberta separatist leader @JeffreyRWRath clashes with CBC's David Cochrane, pushing back on claims that Alberta must consult First Nations before holding an independence referendum and arguing the courts have no jurisdiction because it is a purely political issue.
English

@StefanMurphyHD Those two things are completely unrelated. CBC News produces information content. Fairly and mostly unbiased (panelists notwithstanding) propaganda is the nonsense that the UCP put out monthly with their “chats”
English

@Bellrules Do you know you sound like a CBC commercial right?
Do you see the governments propaganda as a good thing? I’m genuinely curious.
English

@StefanMurphyHD @albertaseparate That’s what the higher courts are for. And yeah, pretty dense.
English

@Bellrules @albertaseparate Yes, I want them to be hung out to dry for not upholding the law
Obviously not me individually deciding right from wrong. But there needs to be scrutiny and oversight, anything short of will 100% be corrupt.
I’m not dense at all. I have an astute comprehension of right and wrong
English

A Trudeau appointed judge from Eastern Canada
Agreed with a bought and paid for foreign funded Indian Chief with a few dozen band members
To kill the democratic wishes of 700,000 Albertans
A new Generation of Alberta Separatists are born

English

@13Firecracker13 @Harry__Faulkner No, the production company and pitch met the standards set out to receive funding. You people really have no idea what you’re talking about.
English

The CBC entrapment and humiliation campaign lured in a retired RCMP officer to the CBC studios in Vancouver and humiliated him in front of a live studio audience, according to Dr. Frances Widdowson.
This isn't just a CBC-backed production. This humiliation of a former police officer happened at the CBC studios in Vancouver.
English

@StefanMurphyHD @albertaseparate So you want judges to be afraid of losing their jobs over a ruling ? You think that makes the judgements more fair? How dense are you?
English

@Bellrules @albertaseparate Wild that you can’t see compromised objectivity from a position appointed from Ottawa.
Judges should be held to account and they should be elected and ousted. I suppose your rebuttal could be the dumpster fire of political parties and dirty floor crossers. But that favours you.
English

The entitlement among immigrants is unreal!! I got blocked in my parking spot today while dropping my kids off at school by someone who could barely speak English. I told him hes not allowed to double park on the street and he just told me to fuck and he could do what he wants. Our government brought these people here and gave them a god complex thinking they can do what they want when they want! These savages need to back to where they came from!
English

@VI_Hillbilly @Harry__Faulkner Well it’s funny because idiots keep falling for it.
English

@Bellrules @Harry__Faulkner LOL you part of the crew or something?
"just a prank bro" stopped being funny as soon as the Internet made prank-streaming a lucrative source of income for the worst idiots in the world, and I hope everyone involved with this production gets Jonny Somali'd
English

@AndrewBeaucage Would you regret it if you find out that the organizers ended up forging signatures and making all that work for nothing ?
English

I dont regret for a second how hard all of us canvassers had worked for the citizens initiative petition. We knew there would be hurdles, road blocks and many battles to get where we all want to be.
I say, keep your head up high and be proud of what we all accomplished. The fight goes on!
Lets go! #AlbertaIndependence

English

@GodTier007 @TrendPolCa @JeffreyRWRath Albertans can “believe” whatever they want, but the rules are the rules. They are applied to everyone, equally, snowflake.
English

@Bellrules @TrendPolCa @JeffreyRWRath Guardrails are only legitimate when they are applied justifiably and consistently.
In this case, many Albertans believe an unjust barrier has been placed on their right to a democratic vote itself.
When peaceful democratic avenues are repeatedly blocked. It stops being peaceful.
English

@KayBen1974 @CodeRedEarthb Judicial decision only have to lawful. This was. You don’t get to vote on judicial ruling.
GIF
English

@Bellrules @CodeRedEarthb It's called a hearing, or in this case a judicial review.
The judge's decision is undemocratic based on Alberta's Citizen Initiative laws which were not taken into account. The Clarity Act was not respected by the judge.
And you totally know it does have bearing on the case.
English

@IndubitablyTho @Harry__Faulkner So let me get this straight, if someone is convicted of a crime, the person who pays their salary is responsible? Ok.
GIF
English

Oh yes, they carry some responsibility. As a funder / broadcast partner, they approve the 'treatment', as presented by the creator/producer.
"A treatment in the context of a documentary film is a written document, usually 2 to 10 pages long, that outlines the creative vision, narrative, and structure of the project before it is fully filmed or edited. It acts as a blueprint or roadmap, designed to convince investors, partners, or production companies to support the film, and it serves as a guide for the filmmaking team to maintain focus on the core story."
English

@VI_Hillbilly @Harry__Faulkner Take them to court. See how it goes for you. I’ll wait
English

@Bellrules @Harry__Faulkner The "wink wink nudge nudge" defence isn't going to work here
English

@StefanMurphyHD @albertaseparate So you want judges to have a bias? Get lost.
English

@Bellrules @albertaseparate Was the judge elected?
How many people are in the band?
