This is what bothers me most. The devs know their shit and they know what the players want. What idiot exec greenlit a fucking Star Wars DLC over the Xivu raid???
Destiny Bulletin@DestinyBulletn

🚨Former Destiny 2 senior narrative designer Robert Brookes says a proper Xivu Arath campaign and raid were pitched multiple times for Destiny 2: "You'd be surprised how many times this was pitched for D2" - thegamepost.com/former-destiny…

Leadership is at the top of the chain of blame. That's why I focus on it. There's blame below them, obviously. But when we win, it's when we're able to back each-other up & put pressure on them from both sides that we win. Fix structural problems so people win / lose fairly.

Almost all of Bungie did not know about this until it was announced

yo @A_dmg04 i promise i won't be mad but for how long did people know this was coming? i understand the commercial reasons for having to be quiet, but i genuinely would be curious to know how early it was communicated internally

@BellularGaming In this case it's simply "Bungee bad" or "You work for a bad company" or "I don't trust your company promises" Some might call this simple but it works for me.

Devs work under constraints. Constraints tend to be a mix of accrued (tech debt, pipeline etc) and top down (budgets, schedules). The latter can lead to the former spiraling out of control. By the time devs are getting blame, company structure tends to be rather FUBAR.

@BellularGaming Classic bellular with his "Leadership bad" takes. Devs are pretty bad too over there lmao.

Is there any show in the last 10 years that actually had a great ending?

Unsurprising.
Destiny 2@DestinyTheGame

Read the full blog at bung.ie/d2_may_21_2026 For almost twelve years, we have had the joy and honor to explore the Destiny universe with you all. Through all the ups and downs, surprises and triumphs, building Destiny alongside our players has been a monumental privilege. While our love for Destiny 2 has not changed, it has become clear that after The Final Shape, we have reached the time for our shared worlds, and Destiny, to live beyond Destiny 2. As our focus turns towards a new beginning for Bungie, we will begin work incubating our next games. To that end, on June 9, 2026, we will release the final live-service content update for Destiny 2 to begin that new journey as a studio. Though active development may be concluding, we will ensure that Destiny 2 remains playable, just as the original Destiny is today. Many changes in this final update will aim to ensure that Destiny 2 is a welcoming place for players to return to. We’re proud of Destiny 2, the places it took us, and the legacy it has created. Because of you all, our universe is vast, built on years of shared stories, adventures, and victories. From the Cosmodrome to the Pale Heart to the Lawless Frontier, we have forged life-long memories and friendships with you all. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made that journey with us. From the deepest part of our hearts, thank you, and we'll see you in the stars.

Personal update: I've joined Anthropic. I think the next few years at the frontier of LLMs will be especially formative. I am very excited to join the team here and get back to R&D. I remain deeply passionate about education and plan to resume my work on it in time.

@RageDarling return to normal is basically, for 90% of the video, i'm me, for 10% it's obviously a brand integration. there being a rigid delineation within the content helps a lot.

@RageDarling ah, i very very rarely do fully sponsored videos. i find they cause too much brand / trust damage. but that's a yt thing, i know norms are different on twitch tbh a lot of this is in how gaming is tricky to monetize for brands

Recently I’ve been seeing a handful of content creators hate on other content creators that create a lot of sponsored “reviews”, I’m curious as to why? I understand fundamentally that a review can’t truly be a review if it’s funded by the developers or publishers because it’ll be bias towards them, and that’s totally fine. However, 👉🏼👉🏼these creators criticising are focusing more on the fact that 80% of their income is branded sponsors. My question is why? In this day and age, influencers/content creators can be seen as digital billboards or adverts in replacement for traditional TV adverts back, etc. Am I viewing this wrongly? I use my platform to promote products and services. I feel like this is the same as YouTubers who insert 1-2 minute ad reads before the main content begins, but it’s just a different type of format. The latter seems to be more widely accepted, or rather, totally ignored by the creators who are passing hate on creators that do “dedicated advertising “. They’re both marketing materials paid for by companies. If “sponsored reviews” are entirely the problem then: 1) Why are creators with millions of subscribers who shill sponsored ad reads in every video ignored? Why are reads different when they say “I genuinely love this product, I use this product, I encourage you to buy this”? 2) Why are we now having issues with sponsored reviews even though they’ve been around for literally years? 3) Why can’t creators genuinely love a product or service but be shit on for not being able to express that because it’s sponsored?

@theo Hermes drawing from ChatGPT Pro usage pretty killed Claude stuff for me - even though I often prefer it. They must be bricking it over losing enterprise contracts.
