Why would you lie, that just shows that people saying blue are lying just to look good, and i honesty most of them probably are if it actually came down to it because if they vote red and blue survive they can say "I voted blue" just to look good, so if people lie and saying blue they are worse than the ones saying red, at least red tells you straight and how it is while those saying blue show they woupd stab you in the back if they have the chance, so pushing blue doesn't make you heroic, it makes you a liar, a coward and a snake for pretending you actually cared, I'm just going off of your logic here

You are asked a hypothetical question that reveals your moral character. Pushing red button announces to the world that you are cowardly. Pushing blue shows you are heroic. There are no other consequences because it is a hypothetical. You can just lie. It’s a hypothetical.

312k vs 8.1 billion, I don't think you know how big that number is, also youre going off of X votes 🤣 also its hypothetical and nothing happens, but if it were real, if your life actually depended on it, you'd really start liking the look of that red button, but in fantasy world, blue button is correct, but in the real world, can you trust 8.1 billion people? Most of the people who voted blue are people that would rather record someone in trouble than help them, if a shooting happens they'd stampede to the nearest exit while trampling over anyone, not caring who's around as its every person for themselves, people celebrate when those with different opinions die, they celebrate when different religious beliefs die, the colour of someones skin die, when the police die, and you try to make out people are good and have humanity in their hearts

When a crisis happens, lets say a shooting the majority of people who say blue because its the moral thing to do will be trampling over people to get out and try and survive, and you want people to trust that if it came down to it that they would pick stranger's over themselves, its easy to say blue because it will never happen, but most will pick red but wont admit it, also would you want your child to press blue knowing there is a chance they will die, kind of a shitty parent if you dont want them to guaranteed to live, also of you had a button to either save your child or a a stangers family, could be any number in that family, you should save the many over the one, but you know for a fact you will save your child over any one else, so morally blue is right, but in reality most are picking red, but will say blue because it paints them in a better light

That speaks more on you than the question itself I immediately picked blue because its the only one that guarantees everyone lives 100% The right thing to do is always the right thing to do regardless of you thinking what other people might or might not do Which is irrelevant since more than 50% voted blue

Morally blue is right, but realistically in the real world where the majoruty of people out for themselves, most people saying blue if in a crisis, lets say a shooting, they will run and get themselves out before anyone else (unless they have kids then they will save the kids) everyone else will be fight and climbing over each other to get out of the situation, now if this situation was real and not a fantasy, people will pick red but if the blues survive they will say "I choose blue" to make them look better" but if those blue die they will still be alive and there would be noone to shit on them for it and they will say "I can't believe anyone picked blue" also I would want my kids to pick red, my kids come before anyone else so if they had a chance of maybe staying alive and definitely staying alive, I want the definitely staying alive everytime, what kind of parent would you be if you want your child to pick blue with a chance of dying, but yes in a fantasy world everyone would pick blue, but you should know the world by now, and realistically most people wont

Yes in a fantasy world people would pick blue, but in the real world you have to trust people to push blue, and I dont fucking trust people, especially strangers, and deep down neither do you, alot of people want you dead just because of a different opinion on politics, people want you dead for skin colour, for different religion, you really think people care if you press blue and die?

People who press the blue probably want their children to press blue, which is fucked up knowing that its not guaranteed survival, I want my kids to live and would want them to press red, I couldn't care less about what anyone else picks, thats on them, if they want to risk their life to look heroic, then good luck

In a fantasy world people would pick blue, in the real world you have to put trust into everyone, if someone said to me my kid has to take a blue pill or a red one where the blue one would be a 50% chance of surviving or the red one which is 100% of surviving, I'm picking the red one, i dont care what other people pick, im making sure my kids are 100% ok and for that reason I'd take the red one so I can guarantee myself still being around for them, same case goes for the buttons, I dont care what anyone presses, I want my kids to guarantee live and I will live along side them, its up to you if you want to take that risk with this world, and youve seen how fucked up it is, also if you also want your kids to press blue with a chance of knowing they could die, thats fucked up

I keep seeing folks being like "If EVERYONE picks Red, then everyone survives." But like.. the same is true for everyone picking Blue, right? The majority picking blue prevents ANY death.
MrBeast@MrBeast

Everyone on earth takes a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press? BE HONEST.

It comes down to logical thinking, can you trust everyone to press blue? If I hand you 2 numbered revolvers and forced you to play russian roulette and said "gun number 1 is a 50% chance of survival and gun number 2 is empty and is guaranteed survival" which you picking? Only an idiot would pick gun number 1, pressing blue is like that, you have a chance of dying because people can't use logic and don't have common sense, you can't communicate with everyone in the world, probably just your immediate family, if you had kids would you tell them to press blue where there is a chance they could die or press red which guarantees that they survive? if you tell your kids to press blue then there is something wrong with you, putting your kids lives in unnecessary danger, because having them press blue gives them a chance for dying and you made them do it, let's use the gun logic again but this time you have to use them on your kids "number 1 is a 50% chance of survival, if they survive you get 1 billion dollars, gun number 2 is empty but you get nothing" which are you choosing? See how that changes things? You can't think about whats best for random strangers who the majority couldn't care less about you, you have to think about what's best for you and your family, red guarantees they survive, in a fantasy world everyone could pick blue, but in the real world we all know the majority will press red

i don’t understand why anybody would choose the red button. asking genuinely, if you chose it - why? if 50%+ choose blue, everyone lives. if less than 50% choose red, only those who chose red live. why are you willing to sacrifice half of those people?

Problem is, you have to trust that everyone will press blue, you can't communicate with anyone, you have to make a decision, if you press blue there is a chance that you will live, if you press red you are guaranteed to live, so anyone that presses blue are idiots that can't understand the logic Press blue ≈ high chance of dying Press red = guaranteed chance of living If you are smart, you would press red, there is no argument about it, if i hand you 2 revolvers that are numbered and said "number one is loaded and you have a 50% chance of survival and number 2 is empty which is guaranteed survival" only an absolute idiot would pick number one, same goes for the buttons, if people had a brain they would choose red, its not about "if everyone presses blue everyone survives" in the real world you know its not like that, you have to put your faith into people choosing blue and we all know that you cant trust anyone, especially when you cant communicate it to everyone, red is only the way, its not selfish, its common sense
