Sadly, striking out a lot on anime this season, but the most disappointing so far is "Marriagetoxin", which was my #1 most-anticipated show. Until... that plot twist in Episode 1, when a promising first half devolved into, I don't know what that was, but it's not for me. (And sorry, I'm beating around the bush, as I don't want to spoil the surprise if you haven't watched it yet 🤪). Very cool art style, voice acting is great, the writing is decent, most of the characters are very likeable, and the animation is good. Humor isn't my taste, but it might be yours. As standout anime go, if you like the twist, you will probably love this one and I'll bet it will do very well in viewer ratings. The plot, unfortunately, is not the quirky romance anime between an assassin and a marriage swindler that I expected or wanted, so it's not for me. If it's your thing, have fun! #マリッジトキシン
