I am really only on social media for the Baseball Card Collecting Communities.

@WexlerRules One of the biggest systemic issues Mets need to overcome is evaluating their own talent, and executing early extensions. Would have saved them $$$ with Nimmo and Alonso. Wonder what they’ll do re: Alvarez.

Not signing him now is a two to tango situation and he and his agent want a monster deal and the Mets will let him find one (or not) and beat it. Nimmo exact same situation.

Interested to see what the plan is with Acuna. 4 career games in the OF and and quite frankly somewhat limited experience at 2b (94 G) (18 in 2023 2b). Do they develop him as a multi-position player? Focus mostly on one position? Leave him at SS for now (ala Mauricio) #Mets

Wonder if Woo is avail w/DeSclafani around. McNeil + MiLB (TBD...) for Woo would be great. But Mariners also have Topa & Speier (who both have MiLB options + under team control).

Bader crushes LHP & provides sterling defense in CF. Alleviates Nimmo from fulltime CF role & gives Mets more SB-speed, too. Bader will have to earn ABs vs. RHP, however.

Yes, Severino was very bad in 2023
Before that:
3.39 ERA and 1.12 WHIP with 10 K/9 & 2.6 BB/9 from 2015 to 2022
Could he struggle again? Sure
But I’m not expecting it

@BenBerkon @Mets Belt can see time at mostly DH but also at 1B. He’ll see more time in the field than JDM wherever he signs. Could do far worse than Belt vs. righties and Vientos and days he doesn’t catch Alvarez vs. lefties as your DH.
