I am going to get to see Weapons next week 😊 Is it the kind of film that I should prioritise seeing on Laser instead of just standard?

@CinePlonks Looks like I picked a perfect time to get into seeing horror movies at the cinema. The Substance was my first one, and then 2025 has been insane with Sinners, 28 YL and Weapons

@CinePlonks I can only go and see it from Aug 15th onwards. My local indie cinema gets films three weeks after release date, and I’m not sure if they’ll show Weapons. The Odeon at the Metrocentre don’t have full listings beyond Aug 14, but I guess they should show it for more than a week.

I’m more anxious about the prospect of not getting to see ‘Weapons’ at the cinema than I am about the prospect of Newcastle United not signing Sesko

@soucekyoself There are a lot of ‘bits’ in the pod that only long-time listeners will get. If I were you, I’d start with an episode on a film that you love

@BenCrellin2 Oh haha. That’s the episode I’ll start with. I am still intrigued by the following parts, not to dismiss them nor this first part completely. Especially if the crux of the next part is with the father trying to reunite with the son, and there’s focus more on that.

I’ve never been more excited to listen to a podcast episode than I am for the @blankcheckpod ep on 28 Years Later

I watched 28 Days Later for the 1st time on Tuesday and I’m really looking forward to seeing 28 YL at a preview screening on June 19th Would be people recommend watching 28WL before 28YL? I saw Danny Boyle say an interview that 28YL is a sequel to 28DL - he didn’t mention 28WL.

@BenCrellin2 You could use your speakers as fronts but you’ll want a surround capable amp and then add other speakers on the sides and rear

A disappointing week
