Had a really productive day today firstly in the morning we hand cut greens. The greens look amazing for the time of year. Then in the afternoon we cleared out some ditches and drains to make them flow better.
Course looking fantastic for the members comp tomorrow. Greens cut at 4mm to reduce stress after course renovations last week. Then after cutting greens we sprayed iron sulphate to give a quick green up on the grass and also to help strengthen the plant against disease.
Day 1 of renovations week completed. So, first we Verti cut at 4mm then we scarified at 10mm. After all that we Verti drained ,cut greens. Same process tomorrow for front 9. Hopefully after all that weather depending we will top dress them to make the surface even.
Brilliant morning setting the course up for @golfpairs. All holes changed, greens cut, collars and approaches cut, bunkers raked and semi rough cut. Have a good day and play well to all the competitor. Let’s hope the rains stays off. 👍⛳️🤞
Jenny, Steve and Karl had a great time at @Breadsallgreens, meeting the new @Marriott apprentices and talking about how a career in greenkeeping can open countless doors. Thanks to @My_Apprentice for the invite!
Very Productive day today learning how to cut tees and greens on the triple mower for the first time. There is room for improvement but practice makes perfect. 👍⛳️
Any turfies out there, please give a follow to my good friend @BenCurrie2004 Just starting out on his greenkeeping career as a Level 2 apprentice at Worsley Park. A great lad who will go a long way!
