@LauraRbnsn I think it's supposed to fit in with this idea of white "vampires" forcing assimilation upon black folks/spaces, but I completely agree it feels a bit muddied.

I actually felt like this line was sort of thematically odd in a movie where people are punished in a very Christian-morality-play-coded way for their sins.
I still don't quite know how that theme fits with the vampire theme.

The Darth Vader scene would have been far more narratively impactful and horrifying if it was the main characters having to flee from him. Should have been the climax.

He’s gonna become parallax and die. The only way the green lantern mythos will have a spot light in the DCU going forward is IF they do green lantern rebirth and bring back Hal. John can’t carry the lanterns on his own bc he’s not the main character of that mythos Hal is. John can stay the main justice league lantern, but for actual green lantern movies Hal Jordan should be the vocal point. He’s the Luke skywalker of the mythos you can’t tell the skywalker saga without him.

I don’t believe Hal Jordan is going to die, but instead he will retire with his love interest. Hal has been the focus of Green Lantern for long enough and it’s past time for John Stewart to enjoy the spotlight.
