This is the right decision and needed making. I was a Smith supporter for a long time but enough was enough, things weren’t looking like getting better.
The club now has to get it right, McDermott had to go when he did, but we haven’t got it right since and it’s been 6/7 years!

All players at the club who wear the famous 7 shirt worn by Rob Burrow will have a special reminder of the legendary star when they play for Leeds
In line with the wishes of Rob & his family, the number will not be retired but instead be a lasting tribute across all Rhinos teams
