Visited the most amazing hidden valley yesterday evening, thirty miles of winding narrow dirt road through hills and gorges led to a twenty mile long valley plateau home to 8 farms ranging from 2,500 to 40,000ac #farming#astounding#hiddengems#lonelyplanet#newzealand#cattle
So we now have this remarkable headline: "red meat is not a health risk", referring to work by the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME):

However, there's some prehistory to this story, which you may find interesting...

The annual trip to Yetholm to help out my brother in law with silage. What a Valley to live and work in. Even though there's some hellish steep bits. #awesome#dry
@jonathansid Well I'm not entirely sure. Usually spread on silage ground once cleared in July time. Got maybe 40 tonne untreated and will be left uncovered for a comparison
This isn't a full badly rolled/ sheeted silage pit it. Its this years muck that's been treated with 250L of Actiferm and sheeted. We produce a very strawy muck so hopefully will help break it down for better quality compost/muck with better spreading ability. #Thisyearsfertiliser
I love our garden and gardening in general (great way to unwind). But this row of daffodils infront of our house always impresses me year on year for a bit spring cheer.
