The SAFE-T Act did not create the presumption of innocence, a bedrock principal of our oft-challenged democracy that’s pretty important everywhere, but especially in a region that has such a long and painful history of wrongful convictions and police misconduct.

So thankful for a State's Attorney who is working to keep our communities safe. It's absurd that the SAFE-T Act allows for violent criminals charged w/murder, attempted murder, predatory sexual assault, etc. to be eligible for electronic monitoring. This makes no sense, is dangerous & needs to be repealed.
