Most knowledge agents start the same way. You pick a vector database, then build a chunking pipeline. You choose an embedding model and then tune the retrieval parameters. I recently authored this piece on the @Vercel blog, breaking down a different and better way you can create knowledge agents. Powered by Vercel Sandbox, Workflows, Chat SDK, and more. h/t @hugorcd for creating the beautiful template that led to the creation of this blog post. vercel.com/blog/build-kno…

@jeevanpillay @vercel Let me know how you go! With large datasets, the performance will also depend on how you have it structured. Little nesting, clear names, and small files will go a long way. Best way to look at it: if it's easy for a human to find something, then it'll be easy for the AI.

@BenSabic @vercel cool stuff. keen to play around with this, but I’m struggling to wrap my head around how this would work with large datasets of data. I guess I’d just have to test and report back hey.

Today is my last day at Vercel. I've had an absolute blast over the last year. I got to work on a lot of my own projects that helped form the basis for our AI Cloud, helped other teams ship their great ideas, and worked alongside some of the most talented people I've ever met. I'll have news on my next adventure for you on Tuesday but for now, wanted to reflect on my time here and the projects I worked on. Read on if you're interested ↓

really cool approach to knowledge agents — skip the usual vector db + chunking pipeline and try something different with sandbox + workflows ↓

Huge news 🙌 We finally dropped the next major version of ▲ next-forge - v6. This is the first time I've come back to next-forge with AI in hand, so we were able to resolve almost every single issue prior to release 🤯 Upgraded packages, better docs, new migration guides - the whole deal. @coreyhainesco With the new Chat SDK, you can add support for Google Chat, Teams, Discord, GitHub, and Linear 👀 e.g: On a Linear issue: "Magister, create a new landing page in Webflow that addresses this" x.com/i/status/20263…

When you update and push your skills, they are automatically validated against the Agent Skills spec via a GitHub Action. This same GitHub Action is used by @coreyhainesco in the marketingskills repo (9k+ stars!) and by @224_agency in the Webflow Agent Skills repo.

𝚗𝚙𝚡 𝚋𝚞𝚒𝚕𝚍-𝚜𝚔𝚒𝚕𝚕 Think create-next-app, but for agent skills. 𝙱𝚞𝚒𝚕𝚍 𝚂𝚔𝚒𝚕𝚕 is a CLI that creates agent skill repositories in seconds. Scaffolds a fully spec-compliant repo with the right folder structure, skill templates, platform plugin configs, JSON schema validation, GitHub workflow for validation and syncing, and helper scripts to add new skills as you grow. Interactive or quiet mode for CI pipelines.
