@joey_dwy I think they voted not to play so why are we shedding tears for them?
English

The narrative that we should feel bad for Belmont's players is interesting here. I've never gotten the sense that guys are all that fired up for the opportunity to play in the NIT, particularly in the days following a heartbreaking loss.

@SethDavisHoops I think you may be the only person in the world trying to argue for Tournament expansion based off this year’s bubble. Honestly, I admire the persistence. Incredible dedication to an effort nobody else supports.
English

Maybe we have different priorities, but I don’t watch mid-major basketball solely because I want to see mid-majors win NCAA Tournament games. It’s a bonus, but it’s not the only reason.
I happen to enjoy watching basketball. Champ week chaos is FUN! Basketball is FUN!

@mid_madness @mid_madness just let us know when North Dakota, Boston University and Campbell win a Round of 64 game this year. Thanks.

@JonRothstein We NEED this NIL Mid-Major Tournament
Here is what the field would currently look like

English

@JonRothstein This is why we desperately need a Mid-Major NIL postseason tournament. This would be the field so far

There will be no NCAA Tournament for Central Arkansas, who ripped through the ASUN during the regular season.

21 years ago, Grant Leonard was an assistant at Shorewood HS in Wisconsin. Today, he led Queens to the Division 1 NCAA Tournament for the first time ever. CHAMPIONS OF THE ASUN! America!

@GamedayGarage Missed @SSN_Lipscomb The Power L is undefeated

@TheRonSlay The one off Franklin Road had the best sweet tea in the South. There was no close second.

I just want to give a shoutout to a place that's sorely missed!!! If you grew up like me, then you know what that steak biscuit and cinnamon swirl meant. "We miss ya Skinny (Mrs Winners)" in Terrance Howard voice. #IYKYK #MrsWinners

@ScottDochterman Battle of the Boulevard should be higher. Lost a lot when Belmont left the conference though.

Ranking the top 50 men’s basketball rivalries. No. 1 (duh) and the top 7-8 stand out. But what about the others?

Agree. Would it kill them to allow your favorite teams on the top line every time so that I’m not constantly having to search? Also, if I’m always watching the same sports and the same teams couldn’t the algorithm put those at the top instead of things I’ve never heard of?

With all due respect, the ESPN app is, by far, the worst app to watch sports on
English

@SethDavisHoops @MikeWatersSYR Or just put them in over an average major conference team. . .
English

@MikeWatersSYR wouldn't expanding the tournament make it more likely that Miami Ohio would get in? Would it even be an argument?
English

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why there's no reason to expand the NCAA tournament.
We won't get more worthy mid-majors; just more Power 5 teams that went 9-9 or 7-10 in their conference.

Bruce Pearl on 29-0 Miami (OH): "If we're selecting the 68 best teams, then Miami (Ohio) is going to have to win their tournament to qualify as a champion. Because as an at-large, they are not one of the best teams in the country." 🏀🎙️#NCAATournament
