For all the talk of progress, Pools are not much - if, indeed, at all - better off than when NF replaced Simon Grayson in October. Some memorable moments, true, but also some low ones - cup defeats, 7-0 at Wealdstone - and the news comes after four games without a win or a goal.

@StellingRobbie What is it though that has made you a supporter of his management? It can’t be the flamboyance, excitement or goalmouth action. I think Micky Barron said he’s only seen 2 games this season that he’s enjoyed and he’s 100% right.

Have to say, I've long been a supporter of Featherstone - and, to an extent, I still am - but in recent weeks this team has been a shadow of what Hartlepool United should be. Can accept being beaten by a much better side, but hard to stomach the lack of fight, pride and desire.

We’ve just been beaten 7-0, this is a significant improvement. Clean sheet and Kouogun was first to everything in the box.

The football club I love is finally heading in the right direction - great owners, great football, fans & club united…..yet here we are. This is exactly why football needs proper regulation to protect clubs and their communities from the past catching up with the present #ycfc
