Adam Taggart now hold Perth's record for most goals in the A-League era.
Was thinking about this yesterday - he's probably their second-best player in Glory's A-League history, behind only Diego Castro.
60 goals in 130 games is a great strike rate.

It's not all doom & gloom. Most in-control performance of the tournament came against Japan. Montemurro has had just three international camps, and only two with most of his first-choice 11. A seriously solid foundation for 27' World Cup and 28 Olympics.
Still hurts though.

This, more than any of their other heartbreaking losses in recent memory, will sting the Matildas most.
They were, for large periods, the better team against a very good opposition. They just did not finish their chances.

Significant news overnight for the future of Asian football.
The Asian Cup used to run on an even-year cycle but was shifted from 2007 to avoid a clash with the Euros & Olympics... now we are back there again at the behest of FIFA.
Is that the best thing for Asian football?

🚨 #BREAKING The AFC has advised bidding nations that it is abandoning the bidding process for the 2031 & 2035 AFC Asian Cups. This comes after a request from FIFA to move the tournament to even-numbered years as part of a change to the international match calendar.

@everythingtaboo Yeah agree. It's frustrating Perth people don't exactly love heading into the city mid-week as it is, but also think there's something to be said about the Tillies being a family-friendly team and it being a school night.

@BenSmith94 Not just that - game was scheduled at 6pm on a weekday (obviously to suit eastern state TV viewers). Awful time for people who work. I wanted to go but couldn’t because of that. Think people are being a bit harsh on Perth here.

This was the seventh Tillies game in WA since last June. Definitely feel there's a bit of fatigue in terms of the sheer amount of games they've had here. Factoring in that, the short run-in for Tuesday and Perth's aversion to mid-week sport, this isn't a bad crowd at all.
