@BeacomGenevieve came to @TreadHQ 12 weeks ago with one goal, to gain velo. Prior to getting to the US, she would sit 82-4 and had hit 85 twice. This is her exit pen yesterday. Gen averaged 84.2mph, with 5 pitches over 85mph.

@TewksHitting Maybe but they’ll adapt. The league will also probably look at minor adjustments if the game play gets affected detrimentally. What I hope is that it’s successful enough in reducing game times for innings 1-9 they reverse course on the ghost runners.

@TewksHitting They also completely stop every game at exactly 2 hours - no exceptions. You’d rather that than a pitch clock thank 99% of players have successfully adapted to in about 1 months time…

@Jomboy_ If this gets game times down I have hope it can reverse the ghost runner rule. The odd 3.5 hour 12 inning game is definitely acceptable if it doesn’t take 3.5-4 hours to play 9. Every inning matters, you have to earn 2nd base

I probably have tweet saying the opposite from before then. I was fully on the side of 'I like baseball so I like longer games bc its what I want to watch' and all the other things I see people saying today. Watched full games from back 90s and older and was like ahhh shit,

Ive been asking for this & shift regulation since 2020 when we watched full innings from 1977-2020 and realized I was wrong & the old guys who said their used to be a better version of the game were very correct. it was eye-opening.
