I once worked in a shady mortuary where their side hustle was harvesting the organs of accident victims that are still fresh or fresh corpses that wasn't claimed by any family member... One day an accident happened a lady was involved, she was still breathing but was pronounced

It is very shameful that a lot of Nigerians in their late 20s or 30s cannot afford to buy a 50kg bag of rice in an entire year, simply because they have to deal with other low-quality problems with the little they earn. • Fuel went from ₦185 to ₦1,400 • A 65-inch television went from ₦300k+ to a million naira • A normal-sized fridge went from ₦140k to ₦600k • An AC went from ₦140k to ₦500k+ • Cars went from ₦2–3m to ₦15–30m. These are 2011–2015 car models, mind you. Let me make it clear to those of you who still don’t get it: if you earn ₦300k monthly and save ₦100k every month to buy a car (saving that amount is almost impossible, by the way), it will take you 140 months to save ₦14 million. For more context, 140 months is 11.8 years. ₦14 million is the cost of a 2013 Toyota Camry SE. Mind you, by the time you are able to fully save for that car after a decade, the price would be double the current price. What this means is that a lot of Nigerians will never be able to afford to own a car in their lifetime. The saddest question is: how many Nigerians are earning up to ₦300k monthly? You do not realize the damage Tinubu and the APC have done to us until you calm down and start thinking about the ripple effects in the coming years. Tinubu must go, and to every person supporting this current government, good things will never find you. Heaven will not rest until you are cursed.

You and Wole Soyinka are still f00ls… btw.
Reno Omokri@renoomokri

Dear Cici, Thank you for your outlook. However, it is sad that a person as young as you would use such a disrespectful term for Professor Wole Soyinka simply because you both have divergent political views. You need to understand that, as Sub-Saharan Black Africans, many people have dismissed our innate intellectual ability. It was Mr. Soyinka, who, by winning the Nobel Prize in 1986, thereby becoming the first Black African to win that award in an intellectual category, that shut the mouths of such persons. Before that, Professor Soyinka did his best to prevent the Nigerian Civil War from breaking out, because he knew the impact it would have on parts of our country. At great risk to his life, he went to the defunct Republic of Biafra to appeal to Colonel Ojukwu. For this, he was arrested on his return to Nigeria and jailed without trial for 26 months for giving aid and comfort to 'Biafra'. Thereafter, when the despotic Abacha regime was plundering and looting Nigeria as well as engaging in state-sponsored murder, it is important to note that Peter Obi worked with General Abacha from Wednesday, April 24, 1996, until Abacha's demise. But in that time, Professor Wole Soyinka fought against Abacha's tyranny and set up Radio Kudirat, after General Abacha murdered Kudirat Abiola. It was through Radio Kudirat that Nigeria's pro-democratic movements were organised. Yes, Professor Soyinka resisted the removal of fuel subsidies under my boss, President Jonathan. However, and perhaps unknown to you, he worked with President Jonathan on an initiative known as Bring Back the Book. Has Professor Soyinka worked with President Tinubu? No! Mr. Soyinka, between 2016 and 2024, subsequently criticised General Buhari for marginalising the Igbos of Nigeria, and his criticism culminated in his book, Baiting Igbophobia, in which he argued for the cause of Ndi'Igbo. Like me, the only reason Professor Soyinka turned on Peter Obi is that Obidients threatened to kill him and his loved ones. Also, like me, he complained to Mr. Obi, who did little or nothing to stop the attacks. Irrespective of how you may feel about Professor Soyinka, to call a man as altruistic and patriotic as him a 'fool' is a sad commentary on the social fabric of the nation. I would appeal to you, Cici, to please give some thought to what this 91-year-old patriot has done for Nigeria in peacetime and in war, and perhaps delete such unkind words after a thorough, sober reflection. Thanks again, Cici, and may God bless Nigeria and all Nigerians. Reno Omokri Ambassador Designate to Mexico. Gospeller. 1. If you can, skip to the last stage of grief (acceptance) and accept that you have fallen off. That is your first reality check. 2. In your desperation to bounce back, you’ll take careless risks and make terrible decisions that will send you into a bottom pit. There is no rock bottom; things can always get worse if you don’t tread with caution. 3. Don’t be ashamed to share your struggles with your friends. They know that you were up before. Anyone can go to zero; you are not special. Ask for help. 4. Take it one day at a time. When you are at rock bottom, your goal is to survive first. Don’t be in a haste to bounce back. 5. Stop chasing your previous high. You lost your savings to a failed investment? Let it go. Start building from scratch like you have never handled bulk money before. 6. Decline every invitation. Don’t be shy to tell people no. Yes, you used to be generous before, but life is dealing with you for now. Adjust and isolate. 7. Ghost everyone except your close friends. You need to stay away from people until you are up enough to start networking again. 8. There is absolutely nothing you cannot recover from. No matter how bad things are now, hang in there; everything will be okay. It gets better with time and serious grinding. 9. Ask for updates. Don’t be shy to ask your friends or acquaintances to put you on (legal hustle). Your friends that are getting it, be humble enough to learn from them. What your mates are doing, follow dem do. 10. Some days it will look like you are bouncing back; two days later, you are back at rock bottom. Bouncing back is not linear; be patient with yourself. 11. Take any job, business, or decent gig and hustle that can at least pay your basic bills until your big breakthrough. Pride won’t pay your bills. 12. Don’t be too comfortable in your new reality. Every day you wake up, put in the work to get out of that phase. As cliché as it sounds, it is true— a moving man will eventually meet his luck. 13. Sad boys and girls will smile again, I promise you. Don’t you ever give up on yourself. You did it before; you can do it again.

The day I went to the gas station, I was shocked, a man came and said he’s just buying 1k and I wondered if that’s possible. They didn’t attend to him o, it was later when it got to my turn I told the attendant to fill extra 4k for him. People are having it tough out here, whoever you can help, just extend help.

The rejection BAT & APC are facing now hasn’t reached the level that would satisfy me. I want to see people wearing BAT caps in public being beaten, just as in 2015 when openly supporting GEJ in the north could put your life at risk. That’s the level of raw anger I want to see.

Heavens why am I having literal chills reading this? A governor gave his phone number to all the headboard in the secondary schools. One called him for a dilapidated building. He showed up, even though the school was deemed “local”. Well he showed up. Decades later people can point to the acts of nobility and dignity of this man. The governor who could leave his office to visit a local secondary school at the call of probably a 16 year old boy will do same to a local government that’s not had power in 2 weeks. Again, people can decide to vote or not vote Peter Obi. We will all suffer or enjoy the outcome of our political choices. But what we will not let pass is mischaracterizing him as a pretext to dismiss him. No. We will sing his praise because he is a man of honor, integrity, decency.
Ifeanyichukwu Samuel😎@Ifeanyichukvu

I schooled in Onitsha High School, Onitsha. One morning, the principal Mrs Julie Ofoefuna informed us that Mr Peter Obi was coming to our school because the Senior Prefect called him and reported that the school building was at the verge of collapse which was true. We thought it was a joke because my school was one of the local schools then, we said” the governor has not finished visiting CKC, DMGS, St Charles, QRC”etc these are best schools then. By 12:00pm that day, he landed with Dr Kay Onyechi the state commissioner of basic education, he inspected the school. He said he will return after two weeks. Two weeks passed we didn’t see him, we took his words as normal Nigeria politicians 😭😭😂.On the third week which was school closing period, he landed. He came like a thief, no motorcades or sirens blowing ” he apologized for coming after two weeks, he said when he learnt that the school was in exam period, he decided to wait but to come after exam. In the end, he gave more than enough for the school renovation. He asked us what we wanted for lunch, nobody could mention any reasonable food. He gave each student ₦100 for snacks.

Hey Massad @US_SrAdvisorAF - here’s a Nigerian dictionary for you. We know all about your conflicts of interest, making millions off no bid contracts from your crony @officialABAT. The spin you spew is verbatim the same as terrorist imam @IsaPantami. It was originally conceived by a sharia propagandist hired by @georgesoros. I strongly encourage you to resign your position before this gets ugly. #EarthShaker
