The best random part about having small kids is how they mispronounce things and it’s so adorable that you not only don’t correct them, you start adopting it yourself.
During Covid, our daughter couldn’t say “hand sanitizer” correctly. Three years later and we all still call it “hanzatizer.”
When my son was two, he had a toy Elmo guitar that he called his “kintar.” My wife and I only stopped pronouncing it like that once he started real kintar lessons and we sounded dumb in front of the teacher.
Our toddler is two and she calls her backpack a “pack pack.” Now the other kids talk about getting their pack packs ready for school every day.
We’re having pasghetti for dinner tonight.
It probably sounds stupid, but it’s little things like this that make parenthood—despite all the challenges—an irreplaceable joy.

A genuine question for Unionists: Were you ever brought up to support Israel?
Growing up, I never heard Israel mentioned, let alone promoted. Even today, I know very few Unionists who actively back it, if anything, indifference seems to be the norm amongst Unionists.
Arnold Carton - Protestant, Unionist and Irish@ArnoldCarton
Like most Unionists was brought up to unquestioningly support Israel, but the pattern of widespread killing of Palestinians in the past 20 years caused a rethink. What happened to you?

@MarkB4houghton @LeeAndersonMP_ If you did she'd sound like a nice whiskey

@LeeAndersonMP_ Why not just Bill and Tony? My wife is Irish, I don't call her Irish Dawn.

@pjcboro @parkrunUK Everyone's different, so long as we're getting out and enjoying our running and the community that's the main thing. Keep er lit!

@Benitoscott @parkrunUK I’m sure he’s a lovely chap but I stand by my point.
People whizzing past me as I do my best for a PB isn’t motivating.

@pjcboro @parkrunUK He came to ours a few months back to celebrate our 500th, was massively sound, talked to everyone, stayed for coffee, total gentleman, jogged round chatting etc. He was as happy for the people at the back, the walkers, the first timers, the pram pushers etc as they were for him
English

@parkrunUK Don’t make it about elite runners. This is about participation and supporting others.
Nick can join a running club and I hope he has a great athletics career but a slow hand clap from me for coming to a park run.

@Shrink_at_Large The Happiness Trap has probably overtaken Reasons to Stay Alive. Shout out to Racing through the Dark by @millarmind too, the recovery from rock bottom stuff in there helped me when I read it

@Tommy_cw87 @TaylorMod Don't care if they were snorting the Marmalade. It's a banger
