Why is the BMI lawsuit against SiriusXM so important? This year digital radio is expected to pay record labels & artists $1.372 billion. Songwriters and music publishers will receive a small fraction of that amount. This is radio - we should be paid equally. We must fix this now.

Here’s the PROPOSED new EU Commission led and dominated by @vonderleyen featuring :
- mostly unknown national politicians, predominantly ‘yes men’ (the likes of Borrell/Breton gone)
- predominantly and unprecedentedly coming from the EPP and the right and far right to mimic the EU Parliament’s composition
- overlapping and blurred portfolios (climate, democracy, Mediterranean, etc), a recipe for internal tensions set to empower the VPs
- and unlikely to survive as such the vote of the EU Parliament with an unprecedented number expected to be rejected
