Typically when in California I book review cars that won’t come to our smaller Colorado market
However, last minute trip, decided to have some fun and book the EV Managers Special from @Hertz!
What do you think I’ll get?

@ErikH_nl @electricfelix I was referring to the older e-up model w/ 16kWh battery. You are right about the 10hrs I forgot with the tractor's consumption. The 22 e-ups have a lot of potential hrs/day of operation left, though.
English
@BenjaminHeindl @electricfelix If we just look at the battery: 360kWh vs e-up 36.8kWh. So thats 10 e-ups, not 22.
Gas consumption: you forgot to multiply that 25L/h by 10h a day. So thats 250L for the tractor dayly, and 99L (or 45L for 10 cars) for e-up. Even with 22 e-ups the tractor wins by 151 liters a day
English

360 kWh 🔋🔋🔋 for a full 8-hour work day ⚡️⚡️⚡️

@nljeffrey @electricfelix Yes. That's exactly what I was trying to say. 👏 👏 👏
English

@ErikH_nl @electricfelix Well with emissions its 22hrs/day for the Up's vs 10hrs/day max for a tractor. Tractor uses about 25ltr/hr; up (ICE) uses 4,5ltr/hr @ 100km/h; 4,5x22=99ltr for 1hr of 22x ICE up operation.
=> So you've got 99ltr vs 25ltr of fuel spent. I'd consider that a win for the e-up's.
English

@ErikH_nl @electricfelix You forgot the main point I was making. It's 22 e-ups compaired to a single tractor. If we assume that each up does a daily commute of 30min, that's 22hrs of operation a day in total. Don't think a tractor can keep up in that regard. Same for emissions: 22xup vs 1 tractor
English

@DerOetzmann @electricfelix Because the tractor used up all the batteries lmao 🤣

Working with local residents on their design and maintenance, Antwerp is piloting tuinstraten (“garden streets”) in five districts across the city.
They improve resiliency (to flooding and heat), liveability and sociability—making these spaces calmer, greener and more beautiful.

Two weeks ago, these beautiful banana barriers succeeded in calming traffic.
Unfortunately, the media praise they received went straight to their ego. Emboldened to act, the bananas have gotten out of control, and now they expanded their calming mandate beyond cars.... 🧵

Hey @CityofVancouver this is second incident I’ve seen caused by these useless ‘slow street’ barricades installed last month. They don’t slow down traffic; they cause crashes and traffic chaos.

@alife_meat @VWGroup Konnte sogar schon eine Testfahrt mit dem neuen Modell machen. 😳 66kWh statt 16, dafür keine Rückbank und kein Kofferraum. Schnellladen mit 401kW! 🤯🤯
