When he performed my heart procedure, Dr. Maatman told me I talked the whole time. So, I told him “You should see how much I talk at while doing my job.” I’m thrilled to have him as my spotter for the 105th Indianapolis 500.

6 months ago, @jakequery had a massive heart attack. Dr. @BenjaminMaatman helped save his life. One of Jake's biggest concerns after? Being able to run his 14th @500Festival Mini-Marathon. He wasn't gonna let a heart attack stop him. And he roped his doctor into it, too.

6 months ago tomorrow, I was a day from leaving for the IndyCar race in St Pete when I had a massive heart attack. When my cardiologist @BenjaminMaatman told me I wasn’t going anywhere for a few days, I asked him if he thought I’d be able to run the Mini Marathon in May. He was

@perc_surgeon @A_N_Mahmoud_MD Great case. Ct with or without contrast? Sole purpose procedure planning or patient already had ct in system to reference? Sick heart, procedure done meticulously, gave them the best chance for good outcome.

@A_N_Mahmoud_MD iliofem were too small on preop ct scan for large bore access. Axillary were borderline sizes for perc so did surgical cutdown. Since was on milrinone and fragile, opted for 5.5. Still got really sick during procedure with 5.5- was glad to have it!

@JonathanShirazi @charliedelta11 What are you doing if inappropriate sinus tachycardia? Improve conditioning or short term bb for symptom control?

@charliedelta11 Extremely common. Event monitor everyone; while the most common is symptoms with seemingly inappropriate sinus tach, we have also seen atrial tach and non-sustained VT.

Anyone else seeing post covid palpitations? I’ve been seeing this everyday in clinic now. Mostly young patients a few months out from their infection. Thoughts?

We are more routinely leaving in 14 fr without peeling away sheath bc of frequent “oozing” issues and placing distal 5fr perfusion cannula with Impella side arm as donor. Always fem angio through side arm before leaving. Trying to dial in removal strategy
