@JJuice8720 @stafford614 @ClintRLamb I do realize the clock is a huge change. I also know passing games today throw a lot shorter quicker routes, higher percentage throws. They catch 8-10% more passes now. That absolutely factors into receiver stats

@stafford614 @JJuice8720 @ClintRLamb Looking at 08/09 Julio’s first 2 years it was 670 attempts. A difference of 200 pass attempts over 2 years is a lot. Also, look at comp % across the country. The game is different today. McElroy’s 60.9% was 33rd then and would be 83rd today. It’s really tough to compare.

@JJuice8720 @ClintRLamb my math could be wrong but I believe the attempts per game is actually fairly close OSU had 863 passing attempts in 2024 and 2025 combined which is 28.7 passing attempts per game 2009 and 2010 Bama had 708 passing attempts combined which is 26.2 passing attempts per game

Last month, we received a family gift of $260,000. We debated a lot and ultimately decided for a few reasons to drop it all on our 3.75% mortgage. Our mortgage went from $750k --> $490k We recognize we could have made much more investing, but it felt secure to take a little risk off the table. Mortgage calculator shows this will save us $285k in interest. We then recasted our mortgage and our payment dropped from ~$3,800 to ~$2,400. A little bit closer to freedom.

@aquiloniandream @irunoncaffeine @ITARviolation If I listed my home for “market value” right now it would take at least 30-45 days to find a buyer and another 15 to fully close. If I’m lucky. Then taxes and realtor fees etc. The I have to find another home. It’s a safety net for sure, but not nearly as simple as cash

@irunoncaffeine @Benjamin_James4 @ITARviolation There is no situation in which someone cannot sell their home for market value except for extenuating circumstances, such as as a dogshit property with huge square footage or a total crash of the economy, the latter would also lose you your money if it was in a fund lol.

@ITARviolation $260k in a HYSA at 5% for 15 years nets you an extra $280k. He’s claiming this saved him $285k. So not only did his decision make $5k more than your way, your way doesn’t account for inflation. And his way is guaranteed.
