It is time for the United States Postal Service to ban junk mail. Unsolicited spam calls are already prohibited by the FCC. Emails are heavily regulated by the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003. Junk mail is the majority of mail, 100 million trees per year. Enough!

While I am hopeful to be supportive of the Farm Bill, there is currently an E15 (ethanol) mandate tacked on to the Farm Bill that I am working hard to remove. I am convinced that this will increase costs at the pump for all Americans, whether they are driving a car or operating a tractor in a field. President Trump and his team rightly provided exemptions to small refineries from the ethanol blend mandate. This new E15 mandate, which I’m opposed to, will reduce these Trump-era exemptions by 80%. This ethanol mandate is set to subsidize corn states at the expense of the state of Oklahoma. It also aligns with the climate alarmist agenda aimed at crowding out fossil fuels. This could very likely put small refineries out of business across the country, further driving up the cost of fuel in Oklahoma. A lot of people are asking why more politicians are not like Ben Sasse. Because voters will not elect them, that’s why. They may say they care about character, but most don’t vote that way. Instead they vote party line, ideology, self-interest, or out of pique against a perceived enemy. How can we expect our leaders to embody higher levels of virtue if a majority of voters don’t make personal character a red line? It looks like we get the leaders we deserve.

The past 24 hours is exactly why we made this documentary. Young people are becoming more politically extreme at an alarming rate. Mostly driven by social media, the online echo chambers are extremely powerful and toxic. And sadly no one is getting the wake up call… yet.
