These things are beyond my grasp but I have a feeling youre using streams as units sold, which is not physical sales. I was originally questioning you for saying that Benson has sold 100M records. Unless i misunderstood what you meant by records, hes still sold 11.3M total. Sabrina is near 30M or something. Don't treat streams as sales. There's a different ranking for that. As far as actual record sales go, Benson has officially sold 11.3M (which is pretty good for a streaming era artist with 3-4 years of profitability)

@bezzypoo @fateofaditya Album Sales (EAS) is how a lot of accounts tabulate that, since it is arguably more "effective" at demonstrating Streaming era vs Physical Era, but it really just comes down to personal choice ig lol

Most of my numbers are estimates based on data trends, but generally quite conservative. also that 11.3 million number is fundamentally incorrect (most likely out of date) considering Beautiful Things has 11.8 million *certified* in the US+CA+Uk alone

@bezzypoo @fateofaditya That number is safely around 16 billion today. 16 billion divided by even 165 at the harshest is over 90 million on streams alone. That does not count any albums (which count for 10% as much, but are still a part), or any pure singles.

@bezzypoo @fateofaditya Respectfully I think I can tell what the sales look like without your input lol. It's quite basic mathematics. And your definition of "success" is quite highly subjective. I'd consider a million-seat world tour selling out in a minute pretty successful.

No man. You can't just make bonkers rough estimates like that. Sure his actual records sold are higher than what's publicly available (and that goes for all artists), but 100M?? His demand wouldnt be matching that level of sales. His catalogue is rather mid to low-selling compared to his biggest hit Beautiful Things which seems to be the the only thing driving his sales up to begin with.. 100M sales would put him next to Billie, and hes not even near her success in any other metric. And this isn't me shading Benson either. Ive been listening to his music since I think 2021.
