So we discussed how out of touch politicians had become, how balkanized our media had become, how lazy both parties had become, and how uninformed & easily manipulated voters had become over the years, and how it all created the perfect storm for a cruel fraud & demagogue like Trump. She listened. I listened. She gained real understanding. I did too. I really like conversations like that.
