Defensively minded before working on the offensive side. Tackling , applying pressure to the ball carrier is attitude

@Bergo73 @nuffingtonpost @AJG_87 Agree the defensive side of our team is so so bad. It would have been nice to have Starcevich and H. Edwards all season, they would make a huge difference structually.

Amazingly bad, yet we still get some of the highest attendances.

@nuffingtonpost @AJG_87 I think they club needs to get back to basics. Get together a defensive system , become hard to score against. We do not have the ability to play the high tempo game , just don’t have the skill level and mids refuse to work back to help defence.

@AJG_87 I suspect the club does care but they just don’t know how to improve (not sure what’s worse).

@RalphyHeraldSun The umpiring decision/non decision making last night was deplorable at best. I honestly think the AFL has lost its way. The rules as written originally should be reverted back to (well pre 2000’s) anyway. The game was free flowing well umpired and generally a better watch IMO

Melbourne kicked 5.3 from free kicks last night. Richmond supporters losing their minds. As many as 8-10 baffling holding the ball free kicks not paid. It didn’t cost the Tigers the game but how can fans hope to understand holding the ball when it is so inconsistently interpreted by umpires?
