If you’re socialising this Easter holiday weekend, please do so responsibly. As usual, we’ll be out patrolling island-wide, monitoring any public events & operating roving road sobriety checkpoints. With that in mind, Acting DCI Trott has a specific message for our community.

Heads up! We will be conducting roadside sobriety checks in all nine parishes on commencing Thursday, 2nd April, 2026 through to and including, Sunday, 5th April, 2026. For those still wondering why we put out these checkpoint advisories, the law dictates that we do so.

Police officers are currently managing a welfare incident at a home in the Scott’s Hill Road, Sandys parish area. Contrary to rumours, this police activity does not involve any area schools. Please refrain from spreading speculation, while we work to safely resolve this matter.

Traffic Update: Traffic diversions are no longer in effect regarding this collision, which occurred around 11:05am today & involved a truck + two cars. The @BermudaPolice thanks motorists travelling through the area near the collision scene for their patience & cooperation.

Traffic diversions are currently in place after a reported 3-vehicle collision in the Middle Road, Pompano Beach Road, Southampton area. Some delays expected. Details are limited at this time. However, apparently no one was injured. Any witnesses call 211. Update to follow.

Update: Normal traffic flow has since resumed in the North Shore Road, Bandroom Lane, Pembroke area. Inquiries continue and any witnesses to this collision are once again encouraged to call 211.

A reported 2 motorcycle collision occurred around 2:10pm today along North Shore Road near Bandroom Lane, Pembroke. Details are limited. Diversions currently at Black Watch Pass & The Glebe Road. Injuries thought to be non-life threatening. Witnesses call 211. Update to follow.

Update: The @BermudaPolice can now confirm that 98-year-old Kenneth Brangman has been found safe & well, thanks to the efforts of police officers + the assistance of our community.
