The National Party candidate for Manurewa wouldn't even pass an English language competency test. He shouldn't be in New Zealand, let alone a candidate for our Parliament.

Here he is in 2022 begging the government to bring back all “Indian workers”, who are no longer in the country and to give them a Visa because they made a mistake to leave, and the “boundaries are closed” Majeed is on the Migrant council, a lobby group who along with other pro immigrant bodies successfully influenced Ardern to give automatic PR to 250,000 immigrants. National (India First) have unveiled their candidate for Manurewa. Ghouse Majeed (55) is described on Nationals website as a community leader and business man. He actually works at the local Mobil and Vape shop, on Cavendish drive. His National bio says Ghouse is one of the founder trustees of the Ethnic Arts Foundation and Vice-President of the Urdu Hindi Cultural Assn. That’s all it says. Sounds like a great candidate …. We would like to congratulate the ACT Party for realising, within just a few days of supporting the Indian FTA, that immigration is an issue that kiwis actually care about. A good effort with the policy, but unfortunately it doesn’t even touch the sides. We would encourage ACT to watch this space for when NZFirst will be announcing what a real and comprehensive immigration policy actually looks like.
