@IKnoTheTruth2 Have a look at safer roads Yorkshire Look at his admission of loads of nfa’s absolute quality. I had the usual back and forth with Tim in girls heels, with me stating HC the cyclist failed with but of course I was wrong according to him.

@Bikery1966 Totally agree. But you’re not discounting that SRY was loitering within intent. 🦄🦄

@SaferRoadsYorks @2wheelsgoodBrum @DaveReidReading 73 junctions with ASL use facilities where it would make journey safer. Attempted to filter to reach ASL didn’t make it, should of carried on to reach and if felt unsafe to gain centre of the road stopped at ASL on the left and waited for lights to change red to reposition

What to do? See a cyclist filtering on your left and you want to turn left. Clue: don't overtake the cyclist cutting across their path as they signal right.

@SaferRoadsYorks @2wheelsgoodBrum @DaveReidReading How old are you. Don’t like the responses you get from your posts and they don’t agree with you, send a giffy?. Try explaining why the cyclist didn’t comply HC 67, 72, 73,74,76. Putting all blame on the driver makes you look narcissistic and in favour of cyclists vs car mentality

@2wheelsgoodBrum @DaveReidReading @SaferRoadsYorks So that’s 5-4 in rule breaks then. But not once have you mentioned mistakes made by the cyclist. Being a trained cycling instructor it would be beneficial to point out where the cyclist could have made different decisions for his own safety. So everyone could learn from it

@Bernardzno @DaveReidReading @SaferRoadsYorks It’s at least a good thing that you looked up the Highway Code, Bernard. Basing a discussion of reducing road harm on the rules is also good. Others, who know the rules and apply them, can see that the cyclist followed the relevant rules. Now identify the five the driver breaks.

@Bernardzno @DaveReidReading @SaferRoadsYorks The CPT ended nearly 20 years ago. We teach cyclists to filter in its modern-day equivalent. We teach exactly the skills set out in my tweets. Your tweets show such a limited knowledge that they help no one, Bernard.

@DaveReidReading @Bernardzno @SaferRoadsYorks There isn’t a confusion about filtering amongst cyclist, and certainly not that ASLs can only be legally entered on the left. Most ASLs are designed on an assumption that cyclists will filter on the left, and most cyclists do. We teach cyclists to choose the lowest risk option.

@SaferRoadsYorks @2wheelsgoodBrum @DaveReidReading Now then SRY, the cyclist then could have taken up a very defensive central position blocking the Mazda, the intentions of the cyclist would be much more obvious. It’s a 3 direction junction left of lane highly indicates going left, central straight on, right well clearly right

@TheRoadPadrone @SaferRoadsYorks Indication isn’t a legal requirement, how about some form of this is the direction I’m going from the cyclist, not just creep up on the unsighted left risking themselves for a cheeky one car pass

@Bernardzno @SaferRoadsYorks @DaveReidReading The cyclists does an excellent job of following that rule, Richard. Even if they weren’t going straight on at the junction. The driver is responsible for seeing everything in their environment, especially filtering cyclists. Please stop justifying the drivers reckless behaviour.

@SaferRoadsYorks @2wheelsgoodBrum @DaveReidReading Rule 76 Going straight ahead. Check that you can proceed safely, particularly when approaching junctions on the left alongside stationary or slow-moving traffic. Watch out for drivers intending to turn across your path. Remember the driver ahead may not be able to see you,

@SaferRoadsYorks I would still say school boy error from the cyclist the mini is moving before the bike clears it and knowing so much about the junction, should of taken primary over trying to get to the front for their own safety patience’s patience’s

Note that the cyclist clears the mini before it overtakes and left hooks the cyclist. Filtering on the right at this junction isn't a good option as cars often cut the corner as they turn right from the adjoining road.

@2wheelsgoodBrum @DaveReidReading @SaferRoadsYorks The cyclist got caught out trying to get that one more car ahead mentality, then the lights changed. When in fact if they had positioned themselves in the primary position behind the mini we wouldn’t be having this conversation now. A little bit of patience needed I think
