🚨 My fantastic fellow US Senator from Ohio, @JonHusted, absolutely torched Democrats with good old fashioned common sense. He offered to pass ONLY a simple voter ID requirement for federal elections. Democrats BLOCKED that! They have truly lost their minds.

Chuck Schumer and other Democrats have insisted that they actually support Voter ID—they just object to other parts of the SAVE America Act. Well, @SenJonHusted just asked unanimous consent to pass ONLY the Voter ID portion of the bill. Democrats blocked it.

My mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and beat it. My wife got breast cancer and beat it. Two of the toughest women I know. Susie is beyond tough, an incredible human being, and God has much work for her still to do! Our family has you in our prayers.

Last week, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Nearly one in eight women in the United States will face this diagnosis. Every day, these women continue to raise their families, go to work, and serve their communities with strength and determination. I now join their ranks. I am grateful to have an outstanding team of doctors who detected the cancer early and are guiding my care, and I am encouraged by a very good prognosis. I am also deeply thankful for the support and encouragement of President Trump as I undergo treatment and continue serving in my role as White House Chief of Staff.

Felicitaciones a los ganadores de las elecciones al Congreso y las consultas de coalición celebradas hoy en Colombia. Más allá del claro mandato de seguridad y prosperidad, las elecciones demostraron que Colombia cuenta con instituciones sólidas y ofrecieron lo que parecen haber sido unas elecciones libres y justas. Durante los próximos tres meses, es imperativo que el actual gobierno colombiano tome todas las medidas necesarias para garantizar la protección de los candidatos presidenciales restantes. Estados Unidos está observando atentamente la situación y, personalmente, tengo la esperanza de que Colombia pueda algún día unirse al Escudo de las Américas.

Congratulations to the winners of today’s congressional elections and coalition consultations in Colombia. Beyond the clear mandate for safety, security, and prosperity, the elections showed Colombia has strong institutions and delivered what seems to have been a free and fair election. Over the next three months it is imperative that the current Colombian government take all steps necessary to ensure the remaining Presidential candidates are protected. The US is watching closely and I’m personally hopeful Colombia can someday join the Shield of the Americas.
