𝐀 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐄𝐫𝐚 𝐁𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬 After more than 100 years as the Intercounty Baseball League, the league is officially transitioning to a fully professional model under a new name: the Canadian Baseball League (CBL.ca). Fan support has never been stronger, with more than 249,000 fans attending games in 2025. In Hamilton, this transition reflects what our supporters already know, the level of play is at its peak. Last season, 64 players with MLB or Minor League experience competed in the league, including former MLB All-Star and World Series champion Fernando Rodney, who took the mound for the Cardinals.
