@xavez 🤦‍♂️looked up the infamous American social security number though, and while it doesn't contain personal data such as birthdate, widespread use causes same problems (or worse due to use as authentication). It's a username, not a password, and this example uses it as a password

@xavez They could ask for the Rijksregister nummer, then ask "could you now please identify in itsme" to verify your identity with them. Unsure if itsme supports something like that

@xavez So there's nothing wrong with the number, there's something wrong with companies using it as a way to authenticate people 😉 if it would have been a random number, you'd still enter it everywhere, and a bad actor could reuse the responses on the questions above

@th0rgall @TheVunderkind @Spotify I feel like in my case A pops up more often, and C is reserved for those where they're almost sure you'll click. (and you clicked too, so it seems to be quite accurate 😀). I'd guess on listening time, likes, as well as listening time to "similar songs" for A.

Quiz! Which of the following content proposals in my @Spotify Premium are paid ads? And which are genuine recommendations solely based on my data?

@TheVunderkind @Spotify But I can't easily find specs of these ads on the Spotify Ads website. They might be a "custom ad" experience discussed only with big labels behind closed doors... wouldn't surprise me.

@th0rgall Some stores in a nearby shopping centre have those, but these stores are so large they're pretty meaningless as there never are enough people to crowd them. The minor ones probably dont have budget for such systems

@BertMarcelis Yep, also seen this for a fashion store in the centre. But never in the small ICA I frequent. Fashion stores have a lot of glass, easy to see inside. Grocery stores usually don't. Some "occupancy %" people-counter display would be useful on the store entrance! (or online)

@th0rgall Somewhat related, impressive discipline I noticed at the city centre: People queuing up for stores, holding distance in the queue, and one small group in when one small group comes out. Without any guards needed, just people doing as told (even without being told or sign)

@BertMarcelis Of course here you can also have the "avoiding the need" argument: the maximum number of people in a store needs to be respected. In Belgium I heard this is quite strictly maintained by store personnel, but I've never seen anyone check this in a Stockholm grocery store.

@th0rgall The alternative which I have seen are cases such as @BrusselsAirport's toilets, which are ridiculous. Toilets are "safe" (instead of occupied) or "free" (and it was completely wrong/broken as well). In my expierience people wait at a distance, but again, few stores/one region

@th0rgall Shouldn't you then have stayed outside?😉Seems to depend on the store, I can imagine small stores (which are already be cramped) to be crowded rather easily, haven't experienced anything similar in the "normal" and large sized stores around where I live in the Stockholm Suburbs

@th0rgall Took a flight last summer, and while everyone kept distance under the Swedish rules, everyone crowded together as soon as the Belgian mask rules went into effect (before boarding)

@th0rgall From my limited travels, I'd say commuter train occupancy went down from crushed standing room to 25% of seats occupied. Definitly favor this over crowded trains with masks, as a mask is only a measure of last resort (the need for them should be avoided).
