Today in our services, we honoured and paid tribute to a young, fierce soldier in the Kingdom of God. At just 16 years old, Khumo Mathole was not only a disciple, but a disciple-maker - leaving behind a powerful and eternal legacy. Through her life, families were restored, lives were transformed and many were reconciled to the Father. Our prayer is that her life would deeply encourage and stir something within you - to live beyond yourself, beyond your own wants and needs, and to boldly proclaim the Gospel. To wholeheartedly pursue the ministry of reconciliation, and to embrace the leader within. As you step into that calling, do so with unwavering confidence - knowing that the Lord will provide for you, sustain you, and faithfully empower you every step of the way, until the very end.

True mission flows from true worship. Real worship re-centres our lives on Jesus and takes the focus off ourselves, reminding us that when we realise we are standing before the living God, nothing else matters. It is not outward religion or empty ritual, but a single-minded focus on Christ that flows from the heart and is grounded in the truth of God’s Word. When we worship in spirit and truth, putting no confidence in the flesh but glorying in Christ alone, our lives and our mission flow from Him. #theleaderwithin #worship

Charné and I are so grateful to the Lord for an incredible G12 Africa Conference 2026. The theme, “Go and Make Disciples of All Nations,” once again reminded us of our responsibility to be models of how to love people and to inspire others to do the same. We are deeply thankful for our pastors, Cesar and EmmaClaudia Castellanos, and for the powerful input from the speakers — Pastors Art Sepulveda, Oriel Ballano, and Jorge Andrés Cataño. We also appreciate our local pastors, Mangaliso Matshobane, Bennie Kareli, Francois Burger, MVG Lephoko, and many others who contributed to making this conference so meaningful.

We are incredibly thankful to the Lord for an outstanding G12 Conference. The past two days were filled with passionate leaders carrying a deep burden for the future. As we step into 2026, we’re not just entering a new year- we’re stepping into a new season marked by fresh oil from heaven. God is not renewing old routines; He is releasing fresh grace, strength, and anointing for today’s assignment. Yesterday’s oil sustained us, but fresh oil positions us - bringing clarity, authority, and purpose. Anointed, set apart, and sent - 2026 is the year of the Lord’s favour, led not by might or power, but by the Spirit of God.

Correction: 12 Children

I am deeply gutted by the devastation of this tragic accident that has claimed the lives of 13 children from our community while they were on their way to school. Yesterday, we visited the parents in their homes together with our Minister of Education, Siviwe Gwarube, Premier Panyaza Lesufi, and other civil leaders. The pain is raw and overwhelming, and we grieve alongside these families. Our hearts are with them—please keep them in your prayers. I am profoundly grateful to the Mahlasedi Foundation team, who have worked tirelessly day and night over the past two days—offering counselling and prayer, and providing practical support such as food and groceries—partnering closely with government, who have truly stepped in to help. @Siviwe_G @Lesufi @mahlasedi_f @My3C_

My heart is deeply broken and heavy following the tragic loss of 13 pupils who lost their lives in a devastating road accident this morning while on their way to school. What should have been the beginning of a new academic year—filled with hope, dreams, and promise—has instead been marked by unimaginable sorrow. Reports indicate that this tragedy occurred as a result of reckless driving, when a minibus taxi attempted to overtake multiple vehicles and collided head-on with a truck. The loss of so many young, innocent lives is devastating beyond words. As a father, a pastor, and a South African, I am profoundly grieved and outraged by the continued disregard for human life on our roads. We strongly condemn reckless and irresponsible driving, especially when it endangers the lives of our children. This tragedy is a painful reminder that we must take road safety seriously and hold those who act negligently fully accountable. Lives depend on it. On behalf of my wife, Charné, and SACOFF, which includes the entire 3C Family Churches, we extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the families, friends, schools, and communities who are mourning today. Please know that you are not alone in your grief. Throughout the day, our team with the Mahlasedi Foundation has been on the ground, working alongside the South African Police Service, the Department of Health, and other stakeholders to assist affected families and respond to the immediate needs arising from this tragedy. In collaboration with the Gauteng MEC of Health’s Office, we remain committed to providing ongoing support, including counselling, emotional care, and practical assistance to the families during this incredibly difficult time. We mourn with those who mourn. We grieve with our nation. And we commit ourselves to walking alongside the families in the days, weeks, and months ahead, trusting God to bring comfort, healing, and restoration in the midst of this profound loss.
