This is neat. Harness for LLMs to play Magic, with recorded games and a leaderboard. mage-bench.com They are, as expected, completely abysmal. But the frontier models do top the leaderboard, so there is some signal there!

PSA for Mono Green players for RC Milwaukee: Please do not put Saproling Nursery in your deck. Its a trap. It decreases win rates by 300%. It's a do nothing enchantment that costs a billion mana. Just leave it out.

Do you see any major mistakes or missing pieces in key matchups (BM aside)? I chose Molten Rain over Charmaw because Charmaw feels too weak: good on the play, too slow on the draw.

@Natity97 @Dakota592018 @MatheusVizosMTG @PiemontiAndrea I think this is a solid list; your preferences seem to differ a bit from mine but nothing that i would consider a mistake. imo charm is a mediocre card and i wouldnt play 3 and there are better cards than innocence

@Natity97 @Dakota592018 @MatheusVizosMTG @PiemontiAndrea I believe that having an unfair axis in a fundamentally fair deck is very valuable. I agree that blood moon is not super well positioned right now but having the option to just win games is too important for me

@BertramTimo @Dakota592018 @MatheusVizosMTG @PiemontiAndrea I’ve also tried one copy of Enduring Innocence in the main deck, and it’s been solid. I’ve always liked PTE, since most players naturally play around our BM (even though I don’t run them—they’re bad). In this setup, PTE ends up working a lot like Swords to Plowshares in Legacy.
