Too vulnerable for social media. Old enough for adult sentences. Welcome to the Victorian youth paradox. 🤦‍♂️

Went to Comic-Con Melbourne today and was stoked to see First Nations representation through Indigiverse. Picked up a copy of Dark Heart and was lucky enough to have it signed by the incredible artist KT Hollywood - such a highlight!!! ❤️💛🖤

$46mil paid out in civil litigation settlements in 5 yrs for Vic Police misconduct. And we wonder why Vic is going broke. Here’s an idea, go through each of those settlements and fire those responsible, instead of the current practice of promoting them.💡 nit.com.au/08-05-2025/178…

“He said there were no protocols requiring police to explore other options before drawing their guns…” The law is clear though. It always requires police to consider less violent means. @theage theage.com.au/national/victo…

Had a great time visiting our amazing staff in Yorta Yorta country, Shepparton! Fun fact: VALS runs 7 regional hubs across the state, offering localised and specialised casework. We’re on the hunt for talent to fill both identified and non-identified roles in regions 🧵👇🏽

Happy snap with mum - who proudly raised her 3 children by herself on the 14th floor of this building.

I grew up in the commission flats - it’s painful to see residents being forced out. This Labor govt claims to be “Doing What Matters”, but for whom? With current bail reforms & demolition of towers, their real agenda is clear: “Out of sight, out of mind”. miragenews.com/premier-urged-…

Here's the Vic Greens finishing Parliament at 12.20am last night, after hours spent holding Labor to account for their rushed, draconian bail laws - which will lock up many more First Nations women and children on non-violent offences. All so the Premier can try to look ‘tough’.

Mr Parsons knows a thing or two about crime and how to address the root causes. He had a thriving practice in the 90s as a solicitor in St Kilda, pioneered Drug Court in Dandenong and then Melbourne. He was a coal face practitioner and a dynamic magistrate. He speaks the truth.

Great to see former Magistrate Tony Parsons speaking out publicly against the proposed bail reforms in Victoria. #BailSavesLives #PoccumsLaw

Why is youth crime rising in Vic? This is why! Bail wasn’t the problem, and tougher bail isn’t the solution. Cutting 46% of funding to critical support services is. Caging kids won’t make us safer, it’ll drain funds and make our community more dangerous. theguardian.com/australia-news…

Labor’s retrograde & panicked bail Bill has just passed Victorian Parliament’s lower house Last time we had bail laws like this we saw a doubling of First Nations women in prison & the death in custody of Veronica Nelson Shame, Labor For: Labor, Liberals, Nats Against: Greens

This week the panicked Victorian Labor Premier will bring retrograde knee-jerk bail laws to Parliament. We’ve seen almost identical laws before & they were described as an ‘unmitigated disaster’. This is a Premier who is more concerned with optics than outcomes. 1/5

The conversation around cannabis is changing. A cross-party committee of Victorian MPs has today called for change. #RelaxTheLaws #SpringSt
