@israel_ajoje Hardly without cause mate. Totally justified. Took the job under false pretences. He said he could manage a football team. He lied. The termination. Is just. He should be paying Chelsea £4 million.

Chelsea have sacked Liam Rosenior. The contract he signed in January runs until 2032. Without the right legal protection in place, the bill for today's decision would have been £24 million. Reports have it that it was just £4million. Let me tell you how. Article 17 of FIFA's Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players is the governing provision here. It states that where a contract is terminated without just cause, the party in breach shall pay compensation, and that compensation shall be calculated with due consideration to the remaining value of the contract under the existing agreement. In plain terms, if you sack a manager/player before his contract expires and you cannot demonstrate just cause, you owe him what he would have earned for the rest of it. That's why you hear terms like a club has to "buy-out" a player/coach if they want to release. them. This provision protects the players. Rosenior signed a six-and-a-half year deal worth £4 million per year in January 2026. The full remaining value of that contract at the point of sacking was approaching £24 million. According to reports, Chelsea structured the agreement to include a capped termination clause estimated to limit the payout to between £4 million and £10 million regardless of when the termination occurs. That clause is the only reason the number is smaller than Article 17 would otherwise demand. Based on what is circulations, Chelsea built that protection in deliberately after paying combined compensation of over £36 million to Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter, Mauricio Pochettino and Enzo Maresca in the space of three years. Everyone gained something at least. I hope you learned something today. My name is Ajoje. I am a FIFA Licensed Agent and International Sports Lawyer. Jayden Seales has claimed the first seven wickets to fall in an innings for Trinidad & Tobago against Leeward Islands, but looks set to be denied the chance to take 10 with the game halted due to a dangerous pitch. The last ball before the suspension is not for the faint-hearted

Over recent months, there has been a social media trend for large, verified accounts championing Mason Greenwood. It is morally abhorrent. inews.co.uk/sport/football…

@AnnieChave Simple answer - PLAY THREE warm up games in Australian conditions before the series. One in Perth (bounce), one in Brisbane (heat), one in Melbourne (slower and lower), THEN start the Ashes and this team would be super competitive. It’s really that simple.

Is this actually the case that Strauss is using the fact that his ‘high performance review’ wasn’t adopted by the counties as the reason we’ve failed in Australia? 🤦‍♀️It’s not because we play the cc in Spring & Autumn or the fact that very few England players actually play it?

Feels like an extra special summer of catching. Smith one hander in Brisbane, Labuschagne just then, Carey up to the stumps and high ball at the Gabba, Jacks at the Gabba. Crawley in the first innings. Rank the best 3? @SEN_Cricket @1116sen #Ashes

Sounds like England won’t make any changes to their batting line-up. I think that’s the right decision. #theashes
