@pedma7 The stop was inside the candle. With daily candles I can't simulate if the stop was hit, but it looked so good so I traded it. RealTest assumes that the stop isn't hit, if it is a green candle, otherwise it assumes the stop will be hit.

One day I tried trading this strategy: a break out system. I only had daily candles and used an initial stop loss. It uterly failed bc the stop was visited much more often than the backtest implied. Don't underestimate the intraday volatility of a stock.

want to start moving into mid frequency models this year also. will require some infra updating for sure. but will also benefit the low frequency stuff as execution will have to get inevitably better if I want to trade there.

Dude claude is so fkn good in-terms of fast and good quality walk forwards and analysis of the backtest it gives . I just give it the backtest and then tell it to give me a detailed analysis of it . It helps me remove or increase size of particular strategies etc . So far i haven’t made significant money , but it might just be around the corner . I am just waiting for it .
