The science is clear: fossil fuels are the main cause of the climate crisis. We need a fair fossil fuel phase out if we want a liveable planet. Our leaders need to face up to this reality - we need an end to the fossil fuel era. Thank you to @ClimateCrisisAG 💚👇

“Climate leadership requires us to put the interests of the people over the financial interests of the fossil fuel industry.” @Bethdohertyc calls out world leaders for failing in their duty to protect the planet and tackle the climate crisis.

A woman broke up with her boyfriend. He couldn’t take it, so he held her, her mum and her sister hostage, tied them up, and shot all 3 of them dead with a crossbow. A crossbow. The extent of male violence on women will forever blow my mind.

26-year-old Kyle Clifford is being hunted by police. It’s a fast moving situation and there’s a lot we don’t know. But there is one thing that we DO know. And it’s depressingly, devastatingly familiar. Three woman are dead. They were killed in their home. A mum, she was 61, and her two girls, 25 and 28, both in their twenties - that decade when you’re working out who you want to be and where you want to go with your life. But for them, that’s now over. A woman is killed by a man every three days in the United Kingdom. That number has been remarkably consistent for the last twenty years. Women are also much more likely to be killed by someone they know - two thirds of them are killed by a current or former partner. “Domestic” – that word that somehow doesn’t feel adequate – because terror can also happen in the home. Remember the three women killed at home in Bushey were still alive when the emergency services got there. Yvette Cooper – the new Home Secretary – has said the killings are “truly shocking” – and she’s being kept fully updated on the case. During the campaign, she said that violence against women and girls will be treated as a national emergency under Labour. And less than a week into the job… three women killed at home. It certainly feels like an emergency.

No water. No food. Rafah completely closed. Gaza made uninhabitable by Israel. Babies reduced to skeletal bodies. A policy of starvation and devastation that subjects Palestinians as a group to conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction
Sky News@SkyNews

'Mothers in Gaza are so malnourished themselves that they cannot breastfeed, and so babies are dying, literally starving to death, because they cannot get the vital nutrition that newborns need.' Sky's Middle East correspondent @AliBunkallSky reports ⬇️ trib.al/reuzRdb

No CEO of water companies who has pumped human shit into England's rivers has been arrested or faces jail time like the @JustStop_Oil activists will for splashing harmless cornstarch on Stonehenge. You are being played by the 1%.

Palestinian children should wake up feeling excited to go to school and play with their friends. Instead, for those murdered in Rafah, their last moments on this earth were filled with unimaginable fear as bombs rained down on their tents. What a monstrous failure of humanity.

If tonight is not a turning point for western govs then there won't be one. The scenes out of Rafah are just hell, living hell, and there's no justification on earth for it. This is genocide, we can all see it's genocide. The gasligthing has to stop & the action has to start.

I couldn’t quite belief this when I read it. Our water industry has effectively stolen from all of us, with full permission from our government…. Here’s the full quote from the @FT

The "evacuation" of Rafah is illegal. There are no "humanitarian" or "safe zones." Civilians are being forcibly displaced to areas totally unsuitable to human habitation. This is a crime against humanity.

All eyes on Rafah. They’re going to invade any minute now. We’ve reached the darkest point of the whole genocide. This is what they promised wouldn’t happen. It’s happening. I don’t have the words. The only “safe place” left in Gaza is going to be destroyed and invaded. Speak up.
